Lesnar vs Wyatt at Summerslam

As many already know, the big match between Brock Lesnar and Bray Wyatt did not happen at Roadblock. Instead, Luke Harper worked the match against the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Reports have now surfaced that management changed their mind at the last minute and decided to save the match until after Wrestlemania 32. The belief is that Lesnar and Wyatt are being penciled in as one of the main events at Summerslam instead.

Overeem vs Lesnar rematch

While the comment may mean actually nothing, Alistar Overeem stated that he would be willing to give Brock Lesnar a rematch. However, it will not be in UFC. Overeem, who was the last person that Lesnar ever faced in his Ultimate Fighting Championship career, stated that he would only do a match once he is retired and only in WWE. Overeem is said to be interested in professional wrestling because he knows what Lesnar is being paid.

CM Punk

CM Punk fight delayed

In a very smart move, CM Punk has decided to postpone his UFC debut so that he can have surgery to repair a herniated disc that was suffered after years of being in a professional wrestling ring. While some WWE fans will criticize Punk for avoiding the fight, it is a wiser move to be as healthy as possible before stepping foot into the Octagon. Otherwise, you lower your chances of picking up the much needed credibility and victory.

CM Punk gets angry

While doing an interview about his new MMA career, CM Punk was asked if he was intimidated by the thought of going from professional wrestling to UFC. That question irritated the former WWE star because he feels that it is insulting for people to assume that he does not know the difference between scripted performances and actual hand to hand combat. The interviewer tried to calmly diffuse the situation but failed to do so.

CM Punk will have rough time in MMA

According to UFC president Dana White, CM Punk is going to have a very rough time in MMA because he has no athletic credentials. White made that statement while talking about Micky Gall, the man that he has penciled in as the first opponent for Punk, a fight that is expected to take place in June. White stated that Brock Lesnar was a different case because he came from a massive amateur wrestling background.

From the moment that he announced that he was signed by UFC, people have wondered who the first opponent for CM Punk would be. Ronda Rousey

Holly Holm not fighting Ronda Rousey

While UFC initially announced that Holly Holm would not be defending her championship until Ronda Rousey is ready, Dana White has apparently had a change of heart. Holm is now scheduled to fight in the spring, and her opponent is heavily rumored to be Miesha Tate. A loss to Tate makes Holm less appealing, so Rousey would not get her big rematch. That might affect her value to WWE as a draw.
