Since the company has long been wanting to add more marketing assets that appeal to Asian countries, WWE has opted to do some tryouts while they are in Japan for a couple of live events. Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the top names in New Japan, and he is reportedly one of the guys that is trying to make the move to the United States.

Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich were going to be receiving tryouts with WWE. It has now been revealed that Jim Ross was the one that made the call to the front office to set things in motion. He did it because of his connection to Kevin Von Erich. The third generation stars have some experience, but the belief is that they would benefit tremendously from the NXT developmental program.

Through social media, Kevin Von Erich revealed that his sons will be heading to Orlando in May for NXT. Some are saying that the boys will be going in for tryouts, while others are saying that they have already secured deals with WWE. Since the family name still holds plenty of value, it wouldn't be all that difficult to believe that Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich will be picked up in the developmental program.

Previously, it was reported that the Great Khali was interested in opening up a wrestling school in India. Apparently, he has already accomplished that. The former World Heavyweight Champion revealed to the media that the academy is already up and running. Khali already has some students working out at his facility. The 42 year old also mentioned that WWE wanted him to send them three performers a year for NXT tryouts.

However, the latest reports are suggesting that it could have been the typical backstage politics that kept him from being given bigger pushes. It is being said that Triple H and Shawn Michaels were burying Lashley in front of management as early as his tryouts.

Reports surfaced earlier this month about former WWE writer Court Bauer revealing that Shawn Michaels and Triple H were the ones that buried CM Punk when he was doing tryouts with the company. During an interview with TapouT Radio, Michaels was asked about the allegations. He strongly denied that it happened. Michaels stated that he was one of Punk's biggest supporters backstage. He even went as far as to say that he didn't know who the writer was.

The reason they were there is because they wanted to see if there were any performers that they wanted to sign for the upcoming season of Tough Enough. Reports have surfaced that they offered a contract and a spot to a third generation performer. Tessa Blanchard has long been rumored for a deal, and it looks like she might have found her way in.

Looks like those rumors about WWE having interest in Tessa Blanchard were true. The second generation star was one of 20 women that the company brought in for tryouts at the Performance Center last week. For those that do not know, she is the daughter of the legendary Tully Blanchard, who teamed with Arn Anderson, Ric Flair and Barry Windham in the Four Horsemen during the 1980s. She currently works on the independent circuit.
