Triple H supporting Floyd Mayweather

Boxing fans are a few days away from seeing a dream match that they have been yearning for an eternity. Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are finally going to fight. Fans around the world are already choosing sides. Not surprisingly, Triple H has chosen Mayweather. During the weigh in, he showed up to support the man that wrestled Big Show at Wrestlemania a couple of years back. This is a very smart and savvy business move by HHH.

Steve Austin backstage heat

Some further details have been revealed about the backstage heat between Vince McMahon and Steve Austin. Apparently, it all stems from questions that Austin asked Triple H when he former interviewed the latter. Some are saying that the question in regards to Chyna set off a chain reaction that eventually brought bad publicity to WWE. The issue between McMahon and Austin was so bad that the former world champion skipped Wrestlemania.

nWo vs DX

At Wrestlemania, fans finally got to witness the much anticipated showdown between two of the greatest stables of all time, the nWo and DX. While scripting the match and segment, many backstage felt that a lot of the alliances and logic did not make sense. Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were longtime enemies of Sting. Plus, they are also real life friends with Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Sean Waltman. WWE went through with it anyways.

NXT at Wrestlemania

To promote the brand that he is currently in charge of, Triple H noted that all but one match at Wrestlemania featured someone that trained at NXT. Antonio Cesaro, Luke Harper, Seth Rollins, Paige, Rusev, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns and several WWE stars in the Andre the Giant battle royal all went through the developmental program. The only match that did not feature someone from there was the one between HHH and Sting.

Dana White on Wrestlemania

Since the mainstream media has jumped all over the story, everyone should already know that Ronda Rousey got involved in a Wrestlemania segment with The Rock, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on Sunday night. A lot of eyes turned to Dana White to see what his reaction would be. Much to the surprise of many that don't know how he truly feels about WWE, White stated that he was pleased with how things worked out for everyone.

Sting Wrestlemania request

Since the company badly wanted to bring him on board, there were several stipulations that Sting required from WWE. One of them was not on the contract, but the front office gave it to him anyways because they wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. The WCW legend requested that Charles Robinson be the referee for his match at Wrestlemania with Triple H. The two of them worked together for years.

Sting wrestling again

Now that he has made his Wrestlemania debut in a cameo filled match against Triple H, Sting is going to take some time and decide on his future in professional wrestling. He is said to be open to the idea of working more matches for WWE, provided that the story makes sense and the money is right. On the flip side, the company definitely would love to make use of his name value once again, but they are not going to rush his decision.

Arnold Schwarzenegger delay

As if there wasn't enough stress caused by Vince McMahon during Wrestlemania week, the production team was really in a frenzy because the front office could not secure the services of Arnold Schwarzenneger until late Saturday afternoon. The team needed him to do voice overs for the special Terminator themed entrance that Triple H was going to use on the pay per view. There was a fear that they would have to drop the custom entrance.

Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt

In the sixth match at Wrestlemania, Undertaker defied age and time to defeat Bray Wyatt. While the bout was not nearly as epic as the ones he had against Shawn Michaels and Triple H, the veteran performer still looked very solid in the ring. A lot of high impact moves were done by both wrestlers. Wyatt managed to kick out of the first Tombstone Piledriver, which doesn't happen frequently, but the second one was too much for him.

Sting vs Triple H

In the third match at Wrestlemania, Triple H defeated Sting by pin fall after hitting him with the end of a sledgehammer during a Stinger Splash attempt. The match thrilled the audience because Sean Waltman, Shawn Michaels, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg came out to help HHH, while Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall came out to help their former WCW cohort. In the end, though, Vince McMahon made sure WWE won the battle.
