Vince McMahon

Triple H in charge

In a sign of how much stock the company is putting into Tough Enough, Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn were down in Florida to oversee the show instead of running Monday Night Raw like they routinely do. That meant that Triple H was left in charge of the episode. Most fans did not even notice the difference, so HHH proved that he can stick to the formula really well.

Michelle Beadle

Michelle Beadle drops WWE

For the longest time, Michelle Beadle was one of the more famous WWE fans in the mainstream media. She would frequently visit the live events and hang out backstage. That has come to an end, and she is blaming Triple H for it. Michelle stated that she could no longer support a company that publicly and firmly supports Floyd Mayweather, whom she labeled as a serial domestic abuser. The boxer actually had her banned from the big fight.

Triple H

NXT touring internationally

While the company has yet to start touring domestically on a full time basis yet, there are already reports popping up that NXT could be doing shows internationally in smaller venues across the world. Word has it that William Regal was the source of these rumors. He told fans that the plans were in place, but it would take approximately a year and a half before they pull it off. Triple H has yet to say anything on the matter.

NXT selling out

Triple H has to be beaming with pride backstage nowadays. His managerial style has turned NXT into quite the success. It is being said that tickets are selling extremely fast for the live events that he has been promoting. Things have gotten to the point where fans are being turned away at the door, which increases the anticipation even more for the next show. HHH has restored a lot of faith in people about the future of WWE being in good hands.

NXT marketing

One of the reasons why Vince McMahon is starting to become a big fan of NXT is the fact that the brand was able to sell out tickets to a live event without needing to promote the matches. That means that fans are simply showing up because they support the brand in whole. WWE live events usually reveal the main event matches that will be taking place on the card. This gives Triple H a bit more leverage when it comes to backstage politics.

Steve Austin

Chris Jericho podcast show

Reports surfaced earlier that Chris Jericho was given a podcast show by WWE after the company decided to drop Steve Austin, who apparently upset Vince McMahon with some of the questions that he asked Triple H. That has led fans to speculate that Jericho would be doing a more company friendly version. In response, the former world heavyweight champion sternly stated that he was going to continue to do his interviews in his own way.

Chyna in hall of fame

Despite her well publicized issues with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, Chyna is still pushing to be inducted into the hall of fame. She is hoping that she still has some allies in WWE that can make it happen. The former Intercontinental Champion is relying on fans to voice their support for her, as that may be something that might be able to convince Vince McMahon to overrule two of his top executives. An induction is highly unlikely.

NXT tour plans

Success has a funny way of changing up your plans. Now that Triple H has proven that his NXT stars can draw fans to live events, the company has scrapped the plans of having them do shows at small venues that WWE normally avoids. Management is now looking for medium sized venues for their developmental stars. Another idea being tossed around is to do these shows on a Saturday night in the same town of the pay per view.

Sting

nWo vs DX

At Wrestlemania, fans finally got to witness the much anticipated showdown between two of the greatest stables of all time, the nWo and DX. While scripting the match and segment, many backstage felt that a lot of the alliances and logic did not make sense. Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall were longtime enemies of Sting. Plus, they are also real life friends with Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Sean Waltman. WWE went through with it anyways.
