WWE signs Superstar Billy Graham

Throughout the years, Superstar Billy Graham and WWE have had a roller coaster relationship. Things got heated at one point when Graham spoke out against Linda McMahon going into politics. The backstage heat appears to have been soothed over. Graham announced through social media that Triple H has offered him a legends contract to get back into the good graces of the company. Graham signed it.

When word broke out that James Storm had signed with WWE, reports surfaced that his friendship with Billy Gunn was the primary reason why the contract was offered and signed. The former world heavyweight champion publicly confirmed that, and he also mentioned that his friendship with Road Dogg was pivotal to his new career move. Storm stated that Dogg was the person that talked to Triple H about the idea.

During his latest podcast interview, Ric Flair shared a backstage story about a big fight that he had with Randy Savage when the two of them were in WCW. Triple H had just received a contract offer from WWE because he did not want to sign for $250,000 with World Championship Wrestling. Savage wanted to squash HHH in a 30 second match. Flair said that he refused to let that happen because he did not feel that it was right.

In a very interesting note, Vince McMahon was not at the funeral for Roddy Piper this week. The two of them have had a rocky relationship over the years, as both are alpha males and very outspoken. WWE recently terminated the legends contract that Piper was under before he passed away from a heart attack. Triple H and Michael Hayes represented the company at the funeral.

When Steve Austin signed a contract with WWE to do his podcast show on their network, he only agreed to do a certain amount of episodes. Thus far, we've seen him do three shows with Vince McMahon, Triple H and Paul Heyman as his guests. Reports have surfaced that he now has 11 episodes left on his deal.

In a sign that Vince McMahon is stepping a bit away from his job as the CEO of WWE, Finn Balor revealed that he finally got a chance to meet the boss at the NXT live event that took place during Wrestlemania weekend. In the past, McMahon personally meets with every wrestler that he signs to a contract. This means that Triple H was the one that did the meeting and the negotiations. The changing of the guard is definitely happening.

Since the company badly wanted to bring him on board, there were several stipulations that Sting required from WWE. One of them was not on the contract, but the front office gave it to him anyways because they wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. The WCW legend requested that Charles Robinson be the referee for his match at Wrestlemania with Triple H. The two of them worked together for years.

Last minute changes have been made by the sports book. Brock Lesnar is now favored to retain the heavyweight championship against Roman Reigns, and the reason for that is because he signed a new contract with WWE. Triple H is now favored to defeat Sting in his Wrestlemania debut match. No word on why those particular odds did a complete shift, but the theory floating around is that it is because so many were betting on the WCW legend.
