AAA and TNA working together

When Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter parted ways, things were a bit complicated for AAA because they had relationships with both sides. The promotion signed a deal with GFW to do a talent exchange. Now, it appears that they are talking to TNA once again. The belief is that Carter is going to send a three man team down to Mexico to compete in the Lucha Libre World Cup Trios Tournament. No word yet on which performers will be sent.

TNA world tour

In a sign that the company might be more popular overseas than in the United States, TNA is reportedly about to announce that they are going to be doing major tours in China, India and Australia. Word going around is that the deals are finalized for the first two countries, but the front office is just waiting to complete the contracts for the third one before making the big announcement. Dixie Carter is taking a pretty bold step here.

Chris Sabin to Europe

Since he is no longer with a mainstream wrestling company, Chris Sabin has been relatively quiet with the internet wrestling community. However, the former TNA star is still quite the hot commodity in Europe. He recently did a tour of Europe at the beginning of March and has now announced that he will be heading back overseas for at least another five shows. It is being said that promoters over there are paying him more to work there.

Hardy Boys tournament

A rather interesting omission from the upcoming tag team championship tournament in TNA is Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy. As of right now, the brothers have not been officially announced as entrants. From what we know, both guys are under contract to the promotion for at least another year, so that can be ruled out as a factor for their absence. Management could also be saving their announcement to build up the anticipation from the audience.

TNA tournament

Since Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards were forced to vacate the tag team championship because the former is out with a broken foot, TNA has decided to put together a tournament to crown new titleholders. Thus far, seven teams have been revealed, and it appears that management is scouring the independent wrestling circuit to see if they could find a surprise entrant that will create a buzz for the company.

Samoa Joe last match

If you are a TNA fan that is sentimental about Samoa Joe leaving the company, you are going to want to tune in to Impact Wrestling on March 20. That night will showcase his final match in the promotion. Fortunately for those that love great in ring action, Joe was paired with Austin Aries in that match, which was filmed when the company was doing a tour of England earlier in the year. No word yet on how he will be written off of television.

SoCal Val back with TNA

Since Christy Hemme opted to remain in the United States, TNA signed SoCal Val to replace her during the tour of Europe. It was supposed to have been a temporary move, but it is now looking like it might become a permanent one. Two longtime producers have opted to leave the company, which means that management will have to move people around backstage. Christy could be utilized more as a producer, which frees up Val to be the announcer.

Chris Sabin tour

For those of you that are wondering, Chris Sabin is very much still a professional wrestler. He has been working on the independent wrestling circuit since leaving TNA. The former world heavyweight champion is actually doing a tour of Europe right now. He has been booked by promotions in a couple of countries. No word yet on what Sabin intends on doing in the long term. No reports of interest from Lucha Underground just yet.

While he has yet to announce his plans, the widespread belief is that the former world heavyweight champion is going to include a tour of New Japan to his itinerary. Joe is a big fan of the country, and the scene over there is pretty hot right now. It would be a nice change of pace for him.

Davey Richards saves life

A feel good story took place on the flight that TNA stars took to return to the United States after their tour of Europe. A woman was experiencing heart issues, and the air crew asked for someone with medical training to assist. Davey Richards answered the call and treated the woman. He was praised rather heavily by the other passengers and the airline. For those that do not know, Richards works as a firefighter and paramedic on the side.
