WWE Studios has secured the rights to the sequel and will begin production soon. The company has tabbed Santino Marella, a comedic performer on Monday Night Raw, as a lead character.
With CM Punk leaving WWE due to unhappiness, a lot of eyes have now focused on Alberto Del Rio, who has openly talked about leaving the company whenever he is upset with the way that his character is being utilized. The belief is that he is unhappy about being fed to Batista.
While there are still plans by WWE to push him, Big E Langston has essentially been neglected by the creative department over the last couple of weeks because the writers simply have not come up with anything for his character to do with Mark Henry being off television.
It appears that the story line and character development for Brutus Magnus is working, as fans have been booing him during the European tour. Many backstage were expecting him to receive cheers like Rockstar Spud has been receiving, but they're pleasantly surprised by the crowd reaction.
Since he showed up as the mystery investor, some are under the belief that MVP will only be an on screen character for TNA. However, he will definitely be utilized as an in ring performer, as he has already filmed a match for an upcoming episode of Impact Wrestling.
"We even have to take briefings on how to tweet and what's the most effective way to tweet. I just never thought it would get to the point where we have meetings on the technique of tweeting. Times are changing. We're getting more pressure from the networks we're on. We just had a meeting with Spike TV and their representatives on who to tweet, how to tweet, when you should re-tweet. They want us to talk about things that are storyline-driven in character."

Sin Cara has been contacting WWE about a contract extension, and it appears that the company has not been responding to him whatsoever. Officials are not interested in moving forward with the performer, and they plan to eventually phase the character out completely.
While management has given up on the character, WWE will be keeping Sin Cara around because he is featured in the upcoming Scooby Doo movie. Oficials have no plan on bringing the original performer back, so Hunico will have the role until after the movie has been released.
Last night, at Royal Rumble 2014, Shawn Michaels surprised the audience by seemingly breaking character and heavily praising Daniel Bryan while doing commentary. There are those that believe that he was simply setting up an upcoming story line for WWE by doing that.
The original Sin Cara has pulicly stated that he owns the rights to the character. He also claims that he has proof, and that lawyers would be able to sort things out with WWE. Some believe that is the reason why the company has not been pushing the character as much lately.

Growing up watching Ric Flair with the way he dressed, the way he walks, the way he talks, I kind of embodied that character. It's been working out really well because I've been winning with it. There are those backstage that are hoping that TNA does not get rid of the Joseph Park character, as they feel that he is a character that still has some life left. Plus, it seems like Christopher Parks genuinely enjoys playing the role, as he does put a lot of attention into the details.
While his on screen character has dropped down from the main event scene, rumor has it that Bully Ray has been gaining power backstage in TNA. He has a good working relationship with executive vice president of television production John Gaburick from their time together in WWE.
At a WWE live event in Dublin, Wade Barrett was introduced to the audience as Bad News Barrett.
In an attempt to try to give him some momentum, Wade Barrett is being repackaged by WWE yet again. The former Nexus star is receiving a new gimmick, and it is being said that he will be using the Bad New Barrett character seen on the JBL and Michael Cole show.
