Sami Zayn bound for glory

An unnecessary and minor controversy erupted over social media this weekend. Sami Zayn innocently posted that he was "bound for glory". Of course, that happens to be the name of a TNA pay per view, which immediately sparked speculations over his future with WWE. Zayn is not going to be jumping ship anytime soon. He is currently healing from a shoulder injury and will be back on television very soon.

TNA negotiates with James Storm

Now faced with the reality that they might lose one of their longest standing performers, TNA has made some calls to James Storm to see if he would be interested in staying with the promotion instead of joining NXT on a full time basis. Reports have surfaced that Storm has not officially signed a long term agreement with WWE just yet. A decision will be needed from the former world heavyweight champion soon.

Since there are people that are still making a big deal about the situation, Triple H decided to elaborate further on why Finn Balor and a couple of NXT performers were spotted near the headquarters of TNA recently. The vice president of WWE revealed that the performers were dropped off at a gym, which just so happened to be in close proximity of the offices of their competition.

Angle vs Lesnar at Wrestlemania

Rumors have surfaced that there are those within WWE that are pushing management to set up a huge match between Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. The former is set to be a free agent soon and has already stated that he is not in a rush to return to TNA. The latter needs a top level opponent to work against because his feud with the Undertaker has ran its course.

Despite being embroiled in a bit of a controversy with a fan at an independent wrestling show, there appears to be some interest from WWE towards Gunner. The former TNA star stated that it was his dream to work in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world and that there are some talks going on between the two sides. However, he stopped at confirming that they were anywhere close to signing a developmental contract.

Hardy returning to WWE

While it could mean absolutely nothing, sources are stating that Jeff Hardy has been mentioned a bit more frequently than usual by the people backstage in WWE. The interest in his return has been slowly rising, it seems. Hardy is one of the higher paid performers in TNA, so if the company is looking to save cost, then they might negotiate a mutually agreed upon release in the near future.

In a really ugly day for professional wrestling, Bram becomes the latest performer to be arrested. He was booked and charged with domestic battery by strangulation and false imprisonment. The victim identified herself as his girlfriend. Many immediately assumed that it was Charlotte that was involved, as she had previously been in a relationship with the TNA star. The WWE diva divorced him not too long ago.

Chris Hero to TNA

Back in May, Chris Hero was backstage at Impact Wrestling and reports stated that he talked a bit with management about a possible contract. Well, it looks like that deal is not going to be happening anytime soon because TNA is showing very little interest in the move. Hero might have a shot with GFW if he can convince Jeff Jarrett that he is still an asset in this industry after a disastrous run in WWE.

Rumors have surfaced that one of the reasons why a contract between WWE and Destination America has not been reached yet is the time slot. The network would obviously love to open up their Thursday night wrestling block with the most popular promotion, as it would draw viewers to TNA and ROH. However, Vince McMahon is not very keen on the idea of helping out his competition.

During a recent interview, Matt Hardy revealed that there were plans in TNA for he and MVP to work a program together. The two of them had a very extensive and very entertaining feud in WWE, so the smart move would have been to capitalize on that. Hardy revealed that he was supposed to have an alliance with his former on screen foe, but for whatever reasons, things just didn't work out.
