Abyss vs Black Reign
- This was a Shop of Horrors (hardcore) match.
- Both men used all sorts of weapons in every part of the arena on one another.
- James Mitchell attempts to interfere.
- Abyss with the Black Hole Slam on Black Reign for the win.
- WINNER: Abyss
- Mysterious wrestler with a red mask comes out of a box and helps Black Reign attack Abyss.
THOUGHTS: Decent match with plenty of hardcore spots to keep the fans tuned in. The mysterious wrestler is believed to be former WWE star Johnny Stamboli using his Red Rum gimmick.
Motor City Machine Guns vs Team 3-D
- Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley attack Team 3-D during their entrance.
- Chris Sabin kicks out of a pin attempt after the Doomsday Device.
- Brother Devon goes through a table.
- Double enziguiri kick on Brother Ray.
- WINNER: Motor City Machine Guns
THOUGHTS: Very good match between these two teams. It was quite a pleasant surprise to see the Motor City Machine Guns getting the win over the more established tag team. This should help elevate them higher on the card and perhaps on to the tag titles. |
Gail Kim vs ODB vs Roxxi Laveaux vs Angel Williams
- Voodoo Kin Mafia was sent away from rinside by the referee.
- Roxxi Laveaux spit mists in the eyes of ODB.
- Gail Kim nails a spinning neckbreaker on ODB.
- WINNER: Gail Kim
- After the match, Awesome Kong came to ringside and stared down Gail Kim.
THOUGHTS: Very good match, but it wasn't given enough time.
"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt
- This match was for the TNA X Division Championship.
- Jay Lethal hits the Lethal Combination.
- Jay Lethal hits the flying elbow drop.
- WINNER: Jay Lethal
- After the match, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt hug.
- Jay Lethal invites So Cal Val into the ring.
- Team 3-D hits the ring and attacks Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt
- Team 3-D takes the TNA X Division Championship belt hostage.
THOUGHTS: Another solid match that would have benefitted from a storyline. The segment after the match with Team 3-D taking the belt hostage was done rather well. The fans are now curious to see where this storyline goes. It also brings some attention back to the TNA X Division Championship.
AJ Styles & Tomko vs The Steiner Brothers
- This match was for the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
- Rick Steiner botches a Death Valley Driver on Tomko.
- Rick Steiner hits a top rope bulldog on AJ Styles.
- Referee gets knocked down.
- AJ Styles hits a low blow on Rick Steiner.
- AJ Styles nails Rick Steiner with a steel chair.
- WINNER: AJ Styles & Tomko
THOUGHTS: Very good match considering the Steiners' declining skills. AJ Styles & Tomko have really developed some nice chemistry as a tag team. They definitely carried the Steiners to a very good match.
Samoa Joe vs Robert Roode
- Robert Roode's biggest fan is in the audience with her sign.
- Samoa Joe and Robert Roode battle outside the ring for a bit.
- Ms Brooks legitimately passes out at ringside.
- Robert Roode attemps the Payoff, but it gets blocked.
- Samoa Joe hits the Muscle Buster for the win.
- WINNER: Samoa Joe
THOUGHTS: Good match with an excellently booked finishing sequence. Ms Brooks passing out did distract a bit from the match, but no one should really blame her. Robert Roode comes out of this match with a lot more credibility.
Kaz vs Christian Cage
- Winner of the match gets a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
- Christian Cage hits a flying frog splash on Kaz, who was laying on a ladder that was positioned outside of the ring.
- Flying reverse DDT by Christian Cage on Kaz off the ladder.
- The clipboard falls, but it gets placed back above the ladder.
- AJ Styles & Tomko come to ringside.
- Christian Cage gets distracted by his teammates' surprise appearance.
- Kaz pushes Christian Cage off the ladder down to ringside and on to AJ Styles & Tomko.
- WINNER: Kaz
THOUGHTS: Very good match that should give Kaz a lot more credibility. The shocking win by Kaz made this match that much more special. It was also a nice touch by the writers to set up potential friction between members of the Christian Coalition.
Kurt Angle & Kevin Nash vs Sting & Booker T
- Booker T hits the axe kick on Kurt Angle, but Kevin Nash breaks up the pin attempt.
- Karen Angle distracts the referee.
- Sharmell comes out and brawls with Karen Angle.
- AJ Styles & Tomko come down to the ring and attack Sting.
- WINNER: Kurt Angle
- AJ Styles, Tomko, and Kurt Angle celebrate together.
- Christian Cage comes out to the entrance ramp with a confused look on his face.
THOUGHTS: Great reaction for Booker T. Kevin Nash still has a lot of work to do to get back into wrestling shape. Nice finish that has the audience wanting to tune in to see where things go between Kurt Angle and the Christian Coalition. |
