TNA Hard Justice 2007
TNA Hard Justice has come and gone. The show was heavily hyped, but failed to live up to it. It was a good show, but with the media watching, it should have been great.

Triple X vs Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal vs Motor City Machine Guns
This was easily the best match of the night, which isn't that big of a surprise considering the match included some of the best workers in the world.
As expected, the match was fast paced.
Triple X was a last minute addition. While it was a pleasant surprise, it was puzzling at first.
After the match, though, we find out why they were included. The writers used a confrontation after the match to set up the feud between Jay Lethal and Christopher Daniels.
WINNER: Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal
Raven vs Frankie Kazarian
The hype behind this match died down before the pay per view.
While it was a decent match, there was way too much interference. It makes it seem like we haven't seen the end of the feud between Frankie Kazarian and his former allies in Serotonin.
Hopefully, that was the end of the feud, and Frankie Kazarian can move on to another feud.
WINNER: Frankie Kazarian |
BAR ROOM BRAWL
James Storm vs Rhino
It was a bit of a disappointment that this match wasn't actually held inside of a real bar. The ring was basically set up poorly to resemble a bar. The match itself was a hardcore match with a pinfalls count anywhere feel to it.
The writing and execution for this storyline has been brilliant, though. The psychology of the match was greatly influenced by the storyline as we saw Rhino struggling to avoid the temptations of alcohol.
Rhino dominated the match early by beating James Storm all around the arena. However, midway through the match, we see Rhino consuming some alcohol and slowly being affected by it. Tremendous job by Rhino to sell the effects of the alcohol in the match.
WINNER: James Storm
LAX vs Voodoo Kin Mafia
This match wasn't built up as strong as it should have been, and it was easy to tell that the audience wasn't feeling it.
Nothing special in the match except that we're finally starting to see some new developments in the relationship between Hector Guerrero, Homicide, and Hernandez.
The writers did a tremendous job setting up the new angle as well. When LAX was making their entrance, they made a gesture towards Hector Guerrero, which the commentators picked up on. The commentators then proceeded to remind us of the heat between Hector Guerrero and LAX.
The match originally had ended thanks to some foul play by the Voodoo Kin Mafia. Hector Guerrero stormed the ring to inform the referee of cheating, so the referee restarted the match. LAX gets the win.
The brilliant part in all this is that after the match, LAX hesitated to befriend Hector Guerrero. They were cautious of one another, but they did seem to ease up a bit. With previous similar storylines, you would immediately see the two sides forming an alliance. It's refreshing to see some realism in storylines.
WINNER: LAX
HUMILIATION MATCH
Eric Young vs Robert Roode
The thing that makes this match a Humiliation match is that the loser gets covered with feathers.
Eric Young did a tremendous job in an interview segment of playing up to the fact that he is deathly afraid of being embarrassed. However, that wasn't enough to really make the match seem more exciting. Probably doesn't that these two have been feuding for the past few months now.
Robert Roode uses the brass knuckles to win the match, but it's Tracy Brooks who ends up getting feathered by Gail Kim and Eric Young.
It'll be interesting to see if the alliance between Traci Brooks and Robert Roode continues.
WINNER: Robert Roode
Chris Harris vs "Black Reign" Dustin Runnels
Looks like this feud is going to be given more time to develop. It should since Dustin Runnels has been gold on the mic.
Black Reign is one of his many split personalities (Goldust being another one). He basically has a black and white version of the Goldust outfit. It'll be interesting to see what type of personality traits Black Reign has. Knowing Dustin Runnels, it should be entertaining.
The finish saw Dustin Runnels brutalizing Chris Harris with a weapon. The referee disqualifies him, but he refuses to stop. Some of the wrestlers come out from the back to save Chris Harris.
WINNER: Chris Harris
Steiner Brothers vs Team 3-D
Surprisingly, it was Scott Steiner that took the brunt of the offense from Team 3-D. Either his injuries have healed or he's just reckless.
The match was a bit of a throwback tag team match as we saw plenty of tag team moves. In fact, there was more tag team moves in this match than we've seen in any mainstream tag team match in 2007. More tag teams should utilize double team moves as it used to be a staple of the division.
Another incredible sight was Scott Steiner doing the Frankensteiner from the top rope.
The finish saw the Steiners finishing off Brother Devon with the flying bulldog tag team finisher.
WINNER: Steiner Brothers
DOOMSDAY CHAMBER OF BLOOD
AJ Styles, Christian Cage, & Tomko vs Sting, Abyss, & Andrew Martin
The idea behind this was good. The match itself was pretty good as well as you had a lot of great spots.
However, something was missing.
Christian Cage somehow manages to escape the cage. While he's at the ramp, he turns around just in time to see AJ Styles get slammed into some broken glasses.
Abyss gets the win and is now the new top challenger for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
WINNER: Abyss
WINNER TAKES ALL
Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe
Throughout the entire night and the entire match, they play up the fact that Karen Angle has left Kurt Angle. Unfortunately, that made it almost too evident that Karen Angle was going to turn on Samoa Joe.
When she made the turn, it wasn't shocking at all, especially considering how long it took her to get a steel chair to Samoa Joe.
The match itself was good with a lot of near falls. The finish was tainted when Kurt Angle nails Samoa Joe with the steel chair to get the win and all of the championship belts.
