Bobby Roode drops KOTM belt

In case you missed Impact Wrestling this week, Bobby Roode dropped the King of the Mountain Championship to Eric Young. The reason for the title change is because TNA wanted to do a Beer Money reunion to spark some interest from their fans. Roode and James Storm are expected to challenge for the tag team championship. They are also expected to be the centerpiece of the tag team division for the time being.

Val Venis trained Bobby Roode

While doing a podcast interview, Bobby Roode was asked about his start in professional wrestling. The TNA star revealed that Val Venis trained him for absolutely free. This was right around the time where Venis was set to make his debut in WWE. The two of them lived within miles of one another in Canada and met one day. Venis told Roode that he had a ring in his backyard and invited him to come over to check it out. The rest is history.

Hardys vacate titles

As expected, Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy were forced to vacate the tag team championship because the former has been left on his own as the latter is going to need several months to recover from a dirt bike injury. TNA has decided to have Bobby Roode and Austin Aries join the fray. The two of them will be facing Davey Richards and the returning Eddie Edwards in a best of five series to determine which team will hold the belts.
