Sting

"I honestly don't know. Nobody ever had that discussion with me. So to me, it's interesting. I just go out there and do the best I can. But I think that might have certainly played a part in it. And especially, man, that was awesome, seeing it. So, Titus ONeil, he had texted me. He said, 'Dude, if you're in your hotel room, you have to turn on SportsCenter. I think they'll replay it in probably about 15 minutes.' And he didn't tell me what it was, but he just told me that I was mentioned. And then I saw it, and they mentioned me and the whole Michigan State basketball thing doing the thing, and I was like wow. That's really cool. And the guy that actually started it, he's going to be coming to the show tonight with three of the guys from, I think, three of the guys from the football team. I don't know if that's true, or if it's just three of his buddies. But he is from the football team, so he's going to be coming. It'll be pretty neat to meet him."

"I used to be, like, 'No, I'm not doing it. I'm going into coaching; that's what I want to do. Dave, who's probably one of my best friends, was, like, 'But I really think you'd do well in it. You have the size and the charisma and the athleticism to do it.' But I just kept saying, 'No, I don't think it's for me.' It was really just blind faith based on what Dave had been telling me, but I walked in and had about a 15-minute conversation with (trainer and former WWE wrestler) Steve Keirn about wrestling and trying out and stuff like that. It was only about 15 minutes after I finished talking to him and left that the WWE called me and said they wanted me to try out. They had a show that day, so I went and picked my kids up from school, and I asked them if they wanted to go to a wrestling match. The next thing you know, two weeks after that, Daddy's wrestling for the WWE."

April 19, 2014
Eric Young
Rumors have it that people backstage in WWE are amused by the fact that TNA put their world heavyweight championship around the waist of Eric Young. It is not so much a shot at Young, as many in the industry feel that he is a good worker and a nice person. The ridicule is more about how TNA went about with the story line of crowning him as champion.
April 19, 2014
Diamond Dallas Page
There are rumors going around that WWE has instructed their performers and former employees to avoid having any contact with Nancy Grace. April 19, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
When Antonio Cesaro left him for Paul Heyman recently, Zeb Colter took to Twitter to ask fans who they thought should replace him and team with Jack Swagger in the Real Americans stable. Scott Dawson has been campaigning for the role through social media, but it is highly unlikely that WWE brings him up from developmental at this point in time.
April 19, 2014
Eric Young
Rumors have it that another reason why TNA gave the world heavyweight championship to Eric Young was to keep him from joining Jeff Jarrett in Global Force Wrestling. Young and Jarrett have a long history together, and they remain on very good terms. Since he is a very good worker and well liked backstage, TNA would much rather he stay with them long term.
April 18, 2014
Kevin Steen
It has been a couple of weeks now since Kevin Steen was rumored to have done a tryout with WWE, and very little news have surfaced since then in regards to the situation. Hulk Hogan
Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Hulk Hogan had been booked to work the Smackdown taping in London next month. April 18, 2014
Alexander Rusev
While management has not officially give him an extended feud to work with since his debut, Alexander Rusev is still being penciled in for a filler match at Extreme Rules 2014. He is expected to squash someone in a quick segment. Top candidates right now are Zack Ryder, R Truth and Xavier Woods, as those are the three WWE performers he has worked with lately.
April 18, 2014
Batista
Even though the stable was just reunited, it appears that WWE is already planting seeds for an eventual breakup between Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton. Through an online poll, the company has been asking fans which of the three is the most dominant. The belief is that WWE will go with a story line where egos break apart the trio like it did several years back.

Summer will also be utilized more as a wrestler this time around as opposed to being a side character.
April 17, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
The backstage gimmick for Antonio Cesaro is that WWE will try to get the fans to beg for a face turn. Management is still secretly passing out Cesaro Section signs to the fans at the live events. The hope is that fans will be clamoring heavily for him to leave Paul Heyman and finally become a good guy. If that works, then he can get his big match against Brock Lesnar in about a year.
April 17, 2014
AJ Lee
Since AJ Lee is taking some time off, WWE needed to find a challenge for Paige and the Divas championship. Management has opted to go with Tamina Snuka, who is expected to be the challenger at Extreme Rules 2014. WWE has been high on Tamina for quite some time now, and they have been looking at ways to reward her.
April 17, 2014
Batista
Even though Daniel Bryan and John Cena are both expected to work their respective matches at the pay per view, Extreme Rules 2014 will be built around a huge six man tag team match featuring Batista, Triple H, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
