Those that watched TNA Lockdown 2014 got a nice glimpse of new X Division Champion Seiya Sanada and Tigre Uno. An opportunity to get even more of a look will be available this upcoming Thursday night on Impact Wrestling, as both performers are scheduled to be there and scheduled to work a match. The company is hoping to revitalize the X division.

Since they are making their debut on a new network in January, there are talks that TNA is going to give Impact Wrestling a bit of a makeover. One of the changes being discussed right now involves Josh Mathews replacing Mike Tenay at the commentating booth. The latter would remain in the company as a producer, providing guidance to Mathews and Taz. Tenay could still do commentary on pay per view events in a three man booth.

Now that their long anticipated television deal with Destination America has been signed and sealed, Dixie Carter and the TNA management team will now shift their focus towards securing a television contract to continue airing Impact Wrestling in Canada. A deal seems imminent, as the company sounds highly confident in their ongoing negotiations with networks north of the border.

One of the reasons why Dixie Carter found the Destination America deal more appealing than the others is because the network promised that they would make TNA a centerpiece. In addition to being given two hours a week for Impact Wrestling, the company will also be allowed to produce specials and secondary shows to be aired. While their new television contract with Destination America does not start until 2015, there are talks that TNA could start filming episodes of Impact Wrestling again in December. Initially, Dixie Carter had planned to do taping at the Manhattan Center in January, but those will now more than likely be canceled. The company would then film episodes in England during their annual tour of the country.

After months of speculations, TNA has finally announced that they have a new television deal in place. Dixie Carter had promised everyone that it was going to happen, but there was a lot of skepticism that surrounded the statement. Impact Wrestling will now be aired on Destination America, a new network that is rapidly growing. Since TNA has not been filming new episodes of Impact Wrestling on a regular basis, a lot of the performers have been finding work on the independent wrestling circuit. Ethan Carter just proved how risky that is. He tore his biceps during a match this week. The injury will cause him to miss the House of Hardcore event this weekend, where he was scheduled to work a big match against Tommy Dreamer, the man promoting the show.

While TNA is having difficulties finding a new home for Impact Wrestling, Eric Bischoff is showing off his knack for getting television networks to give him air time. WGN has announced that they have ordered the first season of Outlaw Country, which is being produced by Bischoff and longtime business partner Jason Hervey. The show will be about the war between sets of brothers on different sides of the law in a Missouri town.

While it seemed all but certain that Impact Wrestling was going to have a new home in 2015, reports are now surfacing that TNA and Spike TV are close to finalizing a deal to keep the business relationship going. Sources have stated that the two sides have been in negotiation the entire time, even as TNA was allowed to seek a contract with another television network. Dixie Carter was expected to make an announcement this week, but if there is a chance to remain with Spike, the reveal could be delayed.

Back in June, Brodus Clay was given a release by WWE, so he informed his fans that his professional wrestling career was far from over. After exploring his options in Japan, the former bodyguard for Snoop Dogg decided to remain stateside by signing with TNA. He made his television debut for the company this week on Impact Wrestling by aligning himself with Ethan Carter and defeating Shark Boy in a match.

While he has some resentment towards the company for letting him away, the door has not yet been completely closed on AJ Styles making a return to TNA next year. He enjoys working in Japan but would much rather be closer to his family at all times. Mickie has been on a hiatus since becoming pregnant, only making sporadic appearances during the beginning. Magnus is expected to still be on the road with TNA, but that schedule is a bit easier now that the company is taping Impact Wrestling in advance.

In the finale of their best of three series for the X Division Championship, Seiya Sanada walked away from TNA Sacrifice 2014 as the retaining champion by beating Tigre Uno. The match was filled with several high spots and was given a decent amount of time. Sanada and Uno shook hands with one another afterwards.
