The Rock

The Rock in Fast 8

Since the movie is almost guaranteed to be a financial success, Fast 8 has already been green lit and it will be based in New York City. That was confirmed by Vin Diesel, who will return yet again to be the star. The other big name in the movie is not as certain to return. The Rock is a question mark right now because producers are still trying to get him on board for his own spin off movie. He might still make a cameo in the 8th film, though.

Steve Austin

Hulk Hogan opponent

It seems like Hulk Hogan is asked at least once a week about a potential return to the ring. It happened again this week while he was promoting Wrestlemania. The former world heavyweight champion stated that it would only work out if WWE let him work with a top level performer who is already massively popular with the audience. Hogan listed Roman Reigns, Steve Austin, The Rock and John Cena as potential opponents.

Tamina Snuka

Tamina Snuka release

Since she has been off of television for so long, fans have naturally started wondering if Tamina Snuka has been given a release. She has not. Tamina is very much still a member of the WWE roster. She is simply rehabbing from a torn ACL suffered last year. The Samoan star is still training with the company and looking forward to a return. Some also believe that her job security is quite high because management does not want to upset The Rock.

Tamina Snuka return

Reports have surfaced that Tamina Snuka is very close to being ready for a WWE return. She has been training with developmental diva Lina Fanene, who also happens to be related to The Rock. While she may be physically capable of returning, it does not guarantee that it will be happening anytime soon. The creative department is swamped right now because of Wrestlemania, so her return could be pushed back until after that pay per view.

The Rock not at Wrestlemania

Up until a couple of weeks ago, the hope that The Rock was going to be working Wrestlemania 31 was very much still in the air backstage in WWE. However, with the former world heavyweight champion picking up movie gigs left and right, the optimism has diminished quite a bit. Management initially had hoped that he would return and work a big match against Triple, so much that they even teased it on television. The program has been reportedly ruled out completely now.
