The Rock

First black WWE champion

During a conference call with the media, Triple H was asked about when WWE would crown their first black world champion. Showing how adept he is with public relations, he quickly dismissed the question by noting that The Rock and Booker T have already accomplished that. He wondered out loud why people do not remember two of the more recognizable names in the history of professional wrestling.

John Cena

WWE marketing top stars

Even though they are both well established in the mainstream media, WWE continues to spend a good amount of resource in figuring out new and better ways of marketing The Rock and John Cena. While the internet wrestling community is begging for the focus to be placed on new stars, management knows that the proven commodities are the ones that are going to bring in the most revenue to the company.

Shawn Michaels

Marty Jannetty wants induction

Even though he routinely bashes WWE for becoming a more kid friendly product, Marty Jannetty has been campaigning through social media for a hall of fame induction. A solo induction is unlikely to happen as his run was not all that memorable as a singles performer. His best chance of getting the honor would be if management decided to honor Shawn Michaels again by inducting the Rockers.

The Rock

Rock hosting SNL

Since he needs to build some hype and promote his new San Andreas movie, The Rock is doing the media tour. One of his more entertaining stops will be when he hosts the episode of Saturday Night Live that will be aired on March 28. This will be the fourth time that he has hosted the show, and several hilarious moments have been produced during that span. WWE will more than likely help him promote the event as well.

We are a couple of hours away from the Royal Rumble and a huge buzz has been created because of a simple tease on social media by The Rock, who happens to be in Philadelphia, the city hosting the pay per view. Reports are surfacing that he definitely has been in touch with WWE and an involvement tonight is on the plate. At the very least, he will be visiting backstage. However, management wants more than that from him.

Jim Ross

Reigns compared to Rock

During the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, the injured Roman Reigns made a surprising appearance to accept a Slammy award. Fans noted that the usually robotic speaker was a lot more comfortable with his speech. Jim Ross, who has a pretty good track record of spotting and signing talent for WWE, noticed as well. The legendary commentator posted on social media that he felt that Reigns showed some subtle mannerisms that are similar to his cousin The Rock.
