When it was announced that she was changing her official title within the company, there were some speculations that Stephanie McMahon was still going to be heavily involved in the creative department in WWE, but it now appears that she truly has embraced her new role and is rarely involved with the writing for Monday Night Raw and Smackdown.
While there are still plans by WWE to push him, Big E Langston has essentially been neglected by the creative department over the last couple of weeks because the writers simply have not come up with anything for his character to do with Mark Henry being off television.
Rumor has it that Bray Wyatt has earned the trust of WWE officials backstage to the point where he is now being allowed to write his own promos. He still needs approval from the creative department before using them on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, though.
One of the notable absences from Monday Night Raw this week was CM Punk. Since things were chaotic with the creative department, the script for the show was heavily edited at the last minute. Punk was initially supposed to work a qualifying match for Elimination Chamber 2014.
Internally, the match between Dolph Ziggler and Miz on Monday Night Raw was viewed as a filler match. The creative department simply added the Cleveland theme, in hopes of getting a little reaction from the live audience. WWE has no plans of making this program a big deal.
That big push for Wade Barrett isn't likely to take place any time soon. The feeling is that WWE is giving him television time each week, in order to fill up the three hours of Monday Night Raw. Plus, his segments are said to amuse the script writers in the creative department.
"As far as my future goals, I hope to be a regular commentator on WWE NXT. From there, I hope to be part of a team to call Monday Night Raw or SmackDown. I would also like to be a trainer and producer for WWE at some point. I like to set lofty goals and tackle them a day at a time."
While he still continues to appear as an active in ring performer for WWE, Tensai is also working a side job as a commentator for NXT. The belief is that the veteran is simply preparing himself for a potentail career after he retires from the ring.
The current plan in WWE is to have Naomi and Cameron leaving Brodus Clay, who has now turned heel, and Tensai to join Xavier Woods and R Truth. The segment on Monday Night Raw this week was designed to further that story line.
Initially, the feud was designed to give the spotlight to newcomer Xavier Woods, but it now appears that WWE has shifted the attentiont to Brodus Clay and his impending heel turn instead. That's why they went with that segment on TLC last night.
