John Cena to Smackdown

As many of you already know, Smackdown is being moved to the USA Network in January. Since WWE wants to stack these shows to put up good numbers, they have decided to contact John Cena and add him to the first couple of television taping. Cena is now scheduled to show up in Laredo for those episodes. The former world heavyweight champion has been off of the road so that he can film a new reality television show.

Alberto Del Rio not allowed to return

When Alberto Del Rio made his surprising return to WWE, officials in AAA were under the impression that he would be returning to their promotion to drop the Mega Championship to another performer. Well, it looks like that will not be taking place. World Wrestling Entertainment is refusing to allow Del Rio to do the time honored tradition of dropping the belt. It also forced AAA to postpone their television taping.

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar at the Forum

On December 19th, WWE is doing a live event at the Forum in Inglewood. It will be the first time in two decades that the promotion has done a show at the venue. There is speculation that Brock Lesnar could be working that show, even though it is not television or pay per view. Some of the advertisement features Lesnar. There are also advertisement that does not feature Lesnar, so there is some confusion there.

Jey Uso training for return

The tag team division in WWE is about to receive a bit of a boost. Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso have been spotted at the performance center. They are training for their return to television. Jey has been out for several months now due to an injury. Jimmy has been sparingly used by management. The creative department did not bother coming up with a singles story line for him, so he mostly stayed on the sidelines.

Alberto Del Rio lighter schedule

Since he had leverage in negotiations, Alberto Del Rio was reportedly able to get WWE to give him a lighter schedule than the grueling one that most performers go through. The former world heavyweight champion will obviously be working television and pay per view events. There is no confirmation yet on whether or not he works live events. It might actually depend on the cities they are in.

Dwayne Johnson coaching Miami

To stir up some excitement among sports fans, WWE recently ran a poll to see if they wanted to see Dwayne Johnson becoming the new head coach at his alma mater, the University of Miami. The Hurricanes fired Al Golden after the team suffered a humiliating 58-0 loss to Clemson on national television. Johnson thanks fans for their support via social media and stated that the team will find a good coach.

Rosa Mendes baby shower

Since management wants to capitalize as much as possible on Total Divas, a camera crew was sent to film the baby shower that the girls threw for Rosa Mendes. Lilian Garcia and Paige were both confirmed to be at the event. Rosa is now six months into her pregnancy, and you can bet that WWE will continue to provide coverage of that on their hit reality television show.

Luke Harper missing

The internet wrestling community was a bit puzzled after watching Monday Night Raw since everyone expected to see four members of the Wyatt Family together for the very first time. Erick Rowan had made his television return this week. Luke Harper was noticeably missing from the stable. Reports have surfaced that he was not there at the arena because WWE gave him time off for personal reasons.

WWE legends no help

When you pack a show with the likes of Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels and Undertaker, you expect fans to tune in since those are four of the most beloved performers in the history of the business. WWE was rather disappointed to find out today that the numbers were not nearly what they were expecting. The television rating and viewership for the episode only increased slightly, which is a disappointment.

Sheamus and Barrett teaming up

The on screen relationship between Sheamus and Wade Barrett might be expanded on television soon. Rumor has it that WWE is considering a tag team consisting of those two real life friends. The Celtic Warrior attempted to help Barrett during his match against Chris Jericho at a live event in Mexico over the weekend. Management could be testing out the waters. Barrett has stated that he would like to join the tag team division.
