Sheamus injures arm

Since he was spotted wearing a cast over his arm, the internet wrestling community was quite curious as to how Sheamus was doing. Reports have now surfaced that the cast was simply a precaution. The former world heavyweight champion is dealing with tendon issues in one of his arms. WWE still has plans on using him on television, but he's not going to be very active because they don't want to risk not having him at Wrestlemania.

As some of you may already know, Rosa Mendes has been away from Monday Night Raw because she is currently pregnant. She recently noted that she was the first pregnant diva that WWE has employed. Many backstage believe that Rosa would have been released from her contract had Total Divas not been in existence. World Wrestling Entertainment felt that her pregnancy would be good for their reality television show.

Iron Mike Sharpe passes away

Earlier today, WWE issued an official announcement about the death of Iron Mike Sharpe at the age of 64. No cause of death has been reported at this point in time. Billing himself as the greatest athlete from Canada, Sharpe spent time in both the NWA and WWF, where he was memorably a jobber on the weekly television shows. Iron Mike spent some time training wrestlers after his retirement. His students include Charlie Haas.

When asked during a recent interview about his future in professional wrestling, Shawn Hernandez opted to divert attention to the fact that he is currently filming movies and television shows. The former TNA star also stated that he was not legally allowed to discuss the ugly contract situation that he and Lucha Underground were involved in last year. All that Hernandez could confirm was that the two sides are no longer working together.

While it wasn't a very well known thing, Konnor was on the sidelines with what is believed to be a jaw injury of some sort. The Ascensions member recently made his return to WWE and is back on the road again. The belief is that he should be back on Monday Night Raw soon. Management isn't interested in pushing the tandem, however, so he might not be back on television right away.

When asked during a recent interview about wrestlers imitating the Bullet Club shirts, Kenny Omega went on a little tangent. The New Japan star stated that it was cheesy for a wrestling shirt to parody another wrestling shirt. Omega stated that it would be find if they parodying a movie or television show. Kenny also stated that the imitators probably have no creativity or are unable to sell shirts on their own without copying.

Since she has not worked a televised match in a while, rumors started floating around that Sasha Banks had an undisclosed injury. The WWE diva decided to respond to those allegations personally. Through social media, Sasha bemoaned the existence of such rumors, which implies that she is healthy enough to work matches. No word yet on when Banks will be booked for another television match.

Whenever a television show moves from one television network to another, there is usually a drop in viewership because not everyone remembers the change or knows how to find the new channel. Dixie Carter has to be pleased because Impact Wrestling drew in more viewers on their POP TV debut than they did during their final televised episode on Destination America.
