The big idea being floated around backstage in WWE right now is to have Triple H and Seth Rollins headlining the show in the main event at Summerslam this year. The seeds were apparently planted at Money in the Bank when Rollins stated that he was the greatest world heavyweight champion of all time.

In case you have forgotten, Brock Lesnar is set to make his return to WWE on the next episode of Monday Night Raw. Sting

Sting at Summerslam

While the topic has not been brought up much lately, WWE is still interested in using Sting at Summerslam. They just have not been able to figure out how they want to make that happen. There are those backstage that want to save him for Wrestlemania, but there are others who are pushing to bring him back because they feel that the former world heavyweight champion can be utilized to help increase the amount of subscribers that they have.

Stardust vs Stephen Amell

It looks like Stephen Amell is going to be getting his wish. The star of Arrow has long been one of the biggest wrestling fans in Hollywood. Eva Marie

Eva Marie at Summerslam

During a recent interview, Eva Marie might have provided a bit of a spoiler for Summerslam. She stated that she was going to be challenging for the Divas Championship at the pay per view. There is a distinct possibility of that happening because management has been more than pleased with her efforts to improve her in ring skills. Eva has been working out in California with Brian Kendrick, who is viewed as one of the better trainers around.

The Rock

Rousey vs Stephanie

When Ronda Rousey showed up at Summerslam, WWE knew that they wanted to put her in a match against Stephanie McMahon, as that would be one of the biggest draws for the company. However, Dana White is unlikely to allow a top level UFC draw to risk injury inside of a wrestling ring. That means that we will more than likely see Triple H and The Rock working a match where the two ladies would be in their respective corners.

Vince McMahon

Summerslam location

When the IZOD Center decided to shut down and go out of business, WWE lost their home for the next Summerslam. Vince McMahon and his staff went about looking for a new venue without much of a panic in their voice. The company knew that they wanted to keep the event in the New York and New Jersey area. The state of the art Barclays Center was heavily rumored as the obvious replacement, and that is now officially the case.
