"I think someone who has helped me the most in the locker room has been one of my closest friends, [WWE interviewer and host] Renee is just really cool. It's good to get a non-wrestling, non-diva perspective on matches. She is very funny, good comic relief. We're kind of buds. I love my Renee Young." - Summer Rae reveals who she is friends with backstage

Summer Rae
"Something that's interesting with season two of Total Divas, Fandango and I's relationship has been on the surface level, as far as WWE programming with Monday Night Raw, Main Event, Friday Night SmackDown. You see us on camera and that's about it. As far as backstage, not a lot of people know about our relationship. It's great that people are going to see behind the scenes with Fandango and I, something that's never been explored before." - Summer Rae discussion backstage situation

"I think I'm still trying to figure out the reasons between Natalya Neidhart and I. It's something we're both trying to iron out and to be very honest with you, I kind of don't get it. As strong, beautiful, powerful women like the WWE Divas are, we should always support each other and always uplift each other."

- Summer Rae discussing backstage heat within Total Divas

Summer Rae
Having been able to capture the attention of a lot of people with just the first two episodes this season, Total Divas has now become a show that fans are looking forward to. The next episode will feature an interesting story line, where Summer Rae will flirt with Daniel Bryan, which causes some backstage heat between the blonde bombshell and Brie Bella.

Initially, there was a push backstage in WWE to have AJ Lee defending the belt against Naomi Knight in a straight up match, but for the sake of Total Divas, management opted to just throw as many of the girls into the match as possible. Cameron, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Natalya Neidhart, Eva Marie, Summer Rae, Emma, Aksana, Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes, Layla El and Tamina Snuka are now involved.

On Monday Night Raw this week, Goldust and Fandango worked a singles match, where Cody Rhodes and Summer Rae were both at ringside. An accident took place in the ring, and Goldust ended up being busted open and needing a couple of stitches to close. The veteran WWE star was quite frustrated backstage about the incident.

Summer Rae
Since the company has adopted a PG image, the move is unlikely to happen, but those backstage in WWE believe that Summer Rae would have definitely been given the Playboy photo shoot nod had she been in professional wrestling a couple of years earlier. Summer Rae would have definitely been featured in a nude photo shoot when WWE allowed that sort of thing.

Summer Rae
While she has been able to maintain her professionalism, especially over social media, word going around is that JoJo Offerman is extremely disappointed that she was removed from the cast of Total Divas. The show is viewed by those backstage as a vehicle for a push in WWE. Her replacement, Summer Rae, is expected to receive that push now.

Summer Rae
There have been many people who have noted that Summer Rae looks like she could be a real life Barbie doll. The WWE diva, who has joined the cast of Total Divas for the upcoming and second season, took a picture backstage during a live event in San Jose, where she made it look like she was a real life doll.

Summer Rae

With all of her prior backstage issues, there are those that believe that Rosa Mendes might have been a good candidate to generate interest in Total Divas, but it appears that WWE did not consider that possibility very seriously at all. Officials opted to go with Summer Rae as the new cast member.

There are those that believe that Fandango is being greatly helped by the presence of Summer Rae, as management needs him around for the act while they continue to develop her into a future WWE Divas Champion.

It was a very telling sign to those within the company that Summer Rae was the only WWE diva chosen to make an appearance with the Bella Twins, both of whom are considered untouchable, at the Wrestlemania 31 press conference.

CM Punk
"We're all individuals and we all live different ways, I do not know any of the back story, I don't know CM Punk but I can empathize and I can completely understand anyone who wouldn't like dealings that have transgressed throughout the years at the WWE." - Goldberg discusses the backstage heat situation involving CM Punk and WWE

Brutus Magnus
"Why do internet fans and gossip writers always have to find an ulterior motive for decisions? It baffles and frankly irritates the hell out of me that these people always have to assume the worst, and report it as fact. More needs to be done in both companies to combat internal sources talking to these parasites. I was asked by a promoter recently if I lost the title because there was heat between me and John Gaburick, our Executive VP of Talent and Creative. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, 'Big' and I are able to freely express ourselves to one another, which means we get to speaks our minds properly, and we've had that relationship since he first arrived in TNA. "Furthermore, how ridiculous is that notion? Do you think if there was heat, that he would have put the title on me in the first place. On average, numbers went across the board while I had the strap. The job of the heel champion is to get the babyfaces over, and leave the place in a better state than he found it. Mission accomplished. "I can't wait to sink my teeth into my next chapter." - Brutus Magnus addressing rumors that he has backstage heat in TNA
May 28, 2014
Bob Holly
"They try to make that hall of fame leigtimate, but if you'll notice, to me, it's politically driven. A dead giveaway is Hunter wanting all of his little buddies, his little circle first. He's taken care of all of them." - Bob Holly suggesting that backstage politics plays a big part in the WWE Hall of Fame
May 19, 2014
Jim Ross
"I was having a long day in my makeshift office at an arena when I was in charge of the talent roster in WWE. I had an extended conversation with someone that was having substance abuse issues. That was our suspicion. Owen saw that my door had been closed for several hours. I catch him coming down the hall, stumbling and bouncing off the walls. I get up close to him, and he's got this white substance under his nose like he had been doing cocaine. Obviously, Owen was not a drug user at all. Long story short, he'd gone to the dessert table at catering and got a powdered donut, trying to cheer me up and say, 'You had a rough day. A lot of us are appreciative of what you're trying to do to help guys.'" - Jim Ross reveals his favorite backstage prank from Owen Hart
May 9, 2014
Sheamus
"Must be getting punchy. Do't remember being beaten up by Sin Cara backstage. It's just how Mexicans and we Irishmen huge it out, fella." - Sheamus addresses the rumors of backstage heat and a real life fight with Sin Cara backstage

Chris Jericho
"I don't know, man, who knows, right? That's something that only he can answer for sure. To me, if he hasn't come back already, then... I left the WWE for two-and-a-half years in 2005. The only difference was I left when my contract was up, but I disappeared too, because I just was over it. I couldn't take it anymore, I wasn't interested in being there, I was getting miserable, so I know how he feels. I had no intention of coming back, and after two-and-a-half years I watched Shawn Michaels vs John Cena at WrestleMania 23 and that inspired me to want to come back, but it took two-and-a-half years to get there. So my answer is, 'I don't know', but I just know how I was when I did the same thing. It took a long time for me to be able to come back, and I was probably the same age as CM Punk is now too, so maybe he's going through the same thing and after a few years he'll come back." - Chris Jericho on the backstage heat situation in WWE involving Punk
May 2, 2014
Chris Jericho
"I only treat people the way that they treat me and I only met Warrior once and he was really gracious and really cool to me back in 1998 in WCW. He was there to do something with Hulk Hogan and I remember I went up to say hi to him and he went, 'Hey, Chris Jericho, I know you, you're doing a great job you're doing some good work.' I was a nobody at the time and I remember thinking, 'Wow, the Warrior likes me that totally smokes.' It made me feel that I must be doing something right and it gave me a little bit of a boost and I always remembered that." - Chris Jericho meets Ultimate Warrior backstage

Brock Lesnar
"Here's a guy that has a huge ego. He has a hard time with putting anybody over and let alone outside the business when someone like Brock Lesnar would have to hurt him. His ego wouldn't let him walk around in a sling. He wants people to know it's entertainment unless he's the one doing it then he wants you to walk around in a leg cast. This is what I see the problem is and I've been pretty critical about it. You've got somebody in that position that's got too big of an ego to run a company like that. Triple H goes to extreme lengths to look good, to be big and cut and make sure he's on the cover of the muscle magazine and make sure he's in fitness things. He's the guy who's putting himself in the forefront. For anybody to run a company like the WWE, you can't be that guy. You've got too much talent out there for you to put yourself out there in front of them." - Ken Shamrock bashing HHH for backstage politics
April 28, 2014
Lacey Von Erich
"If you never want to have a family or a wife or time to yourself, and you like being verbally and mentally abused, then you should [get into wrestling]. I say go for it. [That abuse comes more from] the locker room. Definitely the locker room. TNA is very different than WWE. WWE was very political. I wasn't in there yet. They were like, 'You're a Von Erich. You better be amazing at wrestling,' and things like that. And I wasn't. I'm more of an actress than I am a wrestler. I'd rather play a character than get hurt on the mat. That's what I'm better at. I'm better at acting. That's what I wanted to do. Vince called me. He's the one that got me into this. He's the one asked me, 'Do you want to be a wrestler? Try to be a Diva?' He brought me out and and I signed the contract that night and went into training. I wasn't expecting it to come as much. It really blew up and they expected so much of me, but then TNA called and they really embraced me as like a family member." - Lacey Von Erich talking about backstage politics in WWE
April 22, 2014
Eric Bischoff
"Roddy Piper is a deranged old fool. He got bitch slapped to the floor. Hulk Hogan, Sean Waltman, Scott Hall and Eric Bischoff were in the room. Let it go, Rod. Pod cast invite?" - Kevin Nash telling a backstage story about Roddy Piper and mockingly asks for an invitation to do a podcast interview
April 20, 2014
Trent Baretta
"Hey, let's stop pretending to be offended by what some shitty old lady said about wrestling on a fake news show." - Trent Baretta discusses the backstage heat that professional wrestlers have towards Nancy Grace
April 19, 2014
Brutus Magnus
"I'm as grateful to Sting as anybody in the wrestling business for the benefit he has had in my career. Steve is a great guy and very very smart and just a model citizen as far as the way he conducts himself and how much respect he commands. There are some people who seem to be obsessed with respect and seem to be obsessed with guys not showing them enough respect but Sting is a guy who has never had to pull any stunts, never had to bully anyone, never had to throw his weight around or pull rank; he commands respect. The same could be said about Kurt Angle." - Brutus Magnus discusses how Sting is backstage
April 15, 2014
Dean Ambrose
"You know what, I tell him this and we joke about it, but the smartest thing WWE did was put him with me and Dean Ambrose. Because when we met him, he started from scratch. Granted he's got a whole family history in the wrestling business, but he's a football player. He's an athlete and he's coachable, but like he gets it. Like he got it quick and he understood right away what we were doing. I think putting him with myself and Ambrose, who had the wealth of experience and the all the knowledge and traveling the road. We're in a car all the time, we're on the planes together, we're having the matches together. He was just able to soak up that information we were giving out like a sponge and you can see the difference. He was great when we came in, but look at him now and he's a completely different performer. It was the smartest thing they ever did, putting him with us." - Seth Rollins discussing the backstage reason why Roman Reigns was placed with the Shield
April 6, 2014
Brock Lesnar
"I remember seeing Brock Lesnar the first time he walked into the doors of WWE. All the boys were gathered around eating dinner and Brock Lesnar walks in. He might as well could have had a bolt on each side of his neck, because he looked like just a monstrous Frankenstein of a human being. You don't see guys like Brock Lesnar walk around every single day of your life." - Steve Austin talks about meeting Brock Lesnar backstage for the first time
April 2, 2014
Andre the Giant
"The first day he came in that I met him. He came up to me, I said 'Hello sir, I'm Daniel Bryan' and he says, 'Yeah I know who you are. The 'Yes!' thing is awesome.' The little kid in you is saying 'Holy cow! Hulk Hogan just said I'm awesome!' So that's pretty cool. But I haven't talked to him much beyond that. I would actually be interested to just listen to his stories. He has been around for some of the biggest moments in wrestling history. I'd love to ask him about WrestleMania III. That is an iconic moment, not just in wrestling, but in all entertainment Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant. I'd love to ask about Rocky III! All the kind of stuff. Little things that you always wanted to know." - Daniel Bryan on meeting Hulk Hogan backstage
April 2, 2014
Hulk Hogan
"Right before he passed, we ran into each other at a doctor's office. He had gotten remarried to his high school sweetheart. He was smiling and grinning. He was the old Macho Man I had always known. We hugged each other and talked on the phone a few times. We were planning to have a barbecue at his mom's house, and a couple days before that, he passed away." - Hulk Hogan discusses the end of his backstage heat with Randy Savage
April 1, 2014
Batista
"For some reason I think people thought that I didn't like Daniel Bryan or I had this personal thing. I said a comment, I had one comment about him when he first won the world heavyweight championship and I was like, I was in shock and I said, 'Okay.' Because I just didn't get it. The reason I didn't get it because it was too soon and that's my personal opinion. I felt it was way too soon and they did that constantly over and over. I thought they, they just slap the title on people like, way too fast. It's like, I think sometimes that they used the title, I might get a little grief for saying it, sometimes I think they use the title to get guys over. I thought it just, they did it, it was premature. I never had a problem with him being you know, World Heavyweight Champion, I just thought that they did it way too fast. Years ago, before everybody was you know on his jock, when they wanted me to job him out, and I was like, 'Hell no.' He's just too good. He had been coming around for years and I could never figure out why they didn't give him a job, but he had come out and they wanted me to work a match with him, and squash him and I was like, 'No, not gonna happen.' He's way too good man, we could have a good match, and we did. I mean we gave 'em a version of what they wanted, but we gave 'em a hell of a match." - Batista discusses his backstage heat with Daniel Bryan
April 1, 2014
JBL
"There is a lot of truth to that, absolutely. There were guys that came there from other organizations that perhaps they thought they should just skip everybody else and skip right to the top and have things right away the way they wanted. I mean, hey, there are rules and things that you have to abide by as far as this business goes. and you have to respect those. But, when you don't respect those, then hey, we have got a problem. So, yes, we had a lot of guys who came in with that attitude, and John and I would have to be called upon to let them know 'hey, that is not how it works here'." - Ron Simmons on how he and JBL handled backstage politics in WWE
April 1, 2014
Jim Ross
"There's nothing unresolved. My relationship with WWE is exactly what we want it to be. I'm staying very busy and doing something for WWE Network on an ongoing basis would be challenging. They've moved on and so have I with no regrets." - Jim Ross on his backstage heat with Vince McMahon and WWE
April 1, 2014
Kofi Kingston
"People always say, 'Oh, there haven't been many black champions,' but on the other hand, there are a whole lot of white people that never won a belt either. These days, I think it's less of a racial thing. I honestly believe that if you are able to entertain and interact with the crowd, it doesn't matter what ethnicity you may be. WWE will reward you." - Kofi Kingston discusses racism and backstage politics
March 26, 2014
Summer Rae

"A trailblazer & role model...paving the way for women in this division. You will always be remembered! Rest in peace, Mae Young."

January 14, 2014
Big Show
Considering how far down the ladder he has been dropped, it's easy to understand why there are a lot of rumors about possible backstage heat on Bray Wyatt. Speculations were high over the weekend because Wyatt lost cleanly in a match against Big Show, a performer that is not being pushed. A possible explanation for the loss is that WWE usually allows the baby faces to win at live events, in order to appease the audience.
September 28, 2014
Chavo Guerrero
As some of you already know, Chavo Guerrero is key backstage figure in that new Lucha Underground promotion that was recently launched. He is already receiving criticism for his work, as many people feel that the company is making a mistake by having high flying and quick paced performers slowing down to a manner similar to what WWE uses.
September 27, 2014
Vince McMahon
The latest episode of Monday Night Raw was a prime example of just how hectic things are backstage in WWE. About an hour and a half before the show was to be aired live to a nationwide audience, Vince McMahon decided to scrap the entire show and write it all over again from scratch. That caused quite a frenzy because the writers were barely given enough time to finish the scripts for the wrestlers.
September 25, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
Trash to one man might be viewed as a treasure to another. When Alberto Del Rio was fired from WWE due to a backstage incident, AAA salivated at the thought of building their company around him. When the two sides were legally allowed to sign a contract, management quickly jumped on it and made Del Rio the face of their company. Thus far, they have been pleased with the results because Del Rio carries himself extremely well, especially during media interviews.
September 25, 2014
Brock Lesnar
There is some disarray backstage in WWE right now as to what to do with the main event of Hell in a Cell 2014. Some think that John Cena and Brock Lesnar should have a title rematch in the gigantic steel structure. However, there are enough people who are opposed to the idea that management had to scrap all plans involving Lesnar and Paul Heyman on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw.
September 24, 2014
Brock Lesnar
Since Night of Champions 2014 took place over the weekend, a lot of fans were expecting Paul Heyman to make an appearance and gloat about how Brock Lesnar is still the WWE champion. However, Heyman was nowhere to be seen on Monday Night Raw. He was backstage at the event last night, but management opted against using him because they could not come up with something for Heyman and Lesnar.
September 23, 2014
Brock Lesnar
While there is a possibility that WWE does a third straight match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, there are those backstage that are pushing for Cena to be transitioned into a feud with Seth Rollins instead. That's why the story line of Rollins attempting to cash in at Night of Champions 2014 took place. The belief is that this program will help elevate Rollins into the main event scene.
September 22, 2014
Alexander Rusev
Alexander Rusev is rapidly moving up the ladder in WWE. There are those backstage that are already pushing for him to be groomed for a feud against John Cena in the very near future. The belief is that Mark Henry, a former world heavyweight champion with some credibility with the fans, will be putting over Rusev at Night of Champions 2014.
September 17, 2014
Jeremy Borash
While the future of Impact Wrestling is in question because a deal with Spike TV cannot be reached, TNA is still continuing to churn forward. The company is filming a new television show called TNA Legends, and it is being hosted by Jeremy Borash, who is seemingly the most versatile person backstage. No word yet on where this show will be airing, but it will be on television somewhere.
September 14, 2014
Brock Lesnar
Over the last couple of weeks, there has been a bit of a struggle backstage in WWE. On one side is Vince McMahon, who wants John Cena to be booked as dominant as possible, so that fans will buy into his upcoming rematch against Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions 2014. On the other side is everyone else, who does not believe that Cena should be dominating the other performers on the roster that much.
September 12, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
During a recent interview, Sami Zayn revealed that Antonio Cesaro actually made the request to management to go down to WWE NXT and work there. Zayn explained that the motive behind the move was to let certain people backstage see what he was capable of since it is harder to get the spotlight on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown. According to Zayn, Triple H was really impressed with what he saw in Cesaro.
September 11, 2014
Dixie Carter
While there has not been a lot of news recently about the television contract situation in TNA, there is still a ton of things going on backstage. Reports have surfaced that Dixie Carter has been meeting with potential silent investors. For those that are not aware, silent investors are those that do not have much of a say in how the company operates. There are talks that the investment amount starts at $10 million.
September 9, 2014
Michael Elgin
Rumors surfaced over the weekend that Michael Elgin had backstage heat on him from management over comments that he made about wanting to take a break from ROH and trying out for professional baseball in the near future. Reports have surfaced that those rumors are false because management is actually upset with him for doing the job to Trevor Lee at a PWG show. ROH rightfully does not believe that their world heavyweight champion should be putting people in other companies over.
September 9, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
A good person to be friends with in WWE is the top star in the company. Antonio Cesaro has started to really bond with John Cena backstage, and the two of them have reported been hanging out before shows. Some feel that this could help Cesaro finally get that push that he deserves. It should be noted, however, that a friendship with Cena was not enough to get Big E Langston a big push.
September 8, 2014
Batista
During a podcast interview with Chris Jericho, Batista revealed that he has some lingering backstage heat towards Vince McMahon over an incident that happened a couple of years ago. The former world heavyweight champion was fined $100,000 by WWE because he purposely cut himself during a match to draw blood. Batista felt that the amount was unfairly high, and he noted that was the day when he knew that things would never be the same with WWE.
September 8, 2014
Lilian Garcia
When WWE was releasing employees left and right due to the forced budget cuts, there were several rumors floating around backstage. One of the stronger ones was that management would release Lilian Garcia and Tony Chimel. The idea was to replace them with someone younger and cheaper. Fortunately for the two of them, the release never took place, and they appear to be safe for the time being.
September 6, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
Showing that there is life after WWE, Alberto Del Rio has announced that he will be doing a small world tour in the upcoming weeks. The former world heavyweight champion, who was recently given his release from WWE after a backstage incident, will be working shows in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico and Japan. The initial belief was that WWE would prevent Del Rio from working for another promotion for the next year.
September 4, 2014
Alexander Rusev
Rumors are floating around right now that there is a good amount of backstage heat from management towards Zack Ryder. Some are even pointing to the fact that he was squashed by Alexander Rusev recently as evidence that WWE is upset with him for comments that he has made on social media. The belief is that Ryder is on thin ice nowadays, as his name value has been reduced greatly by being utilized sparsely over the last couple of years.
September 2, 2014
Chavo Guerrero
When AAA makes their way into the United States, they're going to have at least one familiar face on board. Chavo Guerrero has reportedly agreed to join the company. His main role will be backstage, but there are talks that he could be utilized as an in ring performer during the beginning to help new fans grow accustomed to the product. AAA also hopes that Guerrero can help recruit talent for them.
September 2, 2014
Chris Jericho
Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Rumors have persisted for quite some time now that there is still backstage heat towards Jim Ross in WWE. There is some new evidence to support that claim. Ross recently revealed that the company has not approved any of their performers to be a guest on his podcast show, where Steve Austin and Chris Jericho have had plenty of WWE personnel, including Triple H himself, doing interviews for them.
September 1, 2014
Michelle McCool
Rumors are floating around that there is more to the story of Summer Rae and Layla El teaming up than what WWE tells us on television. Many are saying that the move was in response to Velvet Sky and Angelina Love being back together in TNA. Management wanted to reunite LayCool, but since Michelle McCool was not interested in making a full time return, they opted to go with Summer Rae, as the two of them share a physical resemblance.
July 19, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
While a lot of fans are hoping to see WWE giving Dolph Ziggler a push again, the on screen relationship between he and Summer Rae is more about the diva than the former world heavyweight champion. Management needed someone to pair her up with, so that she can continue her feud against Fandango and Layla El. WWE still wants to give her a nice push heading into the next season of Total Divas.
July 6, 2014
Summer Rae
With AJ Lee finally making her return to WWE, the competition in the divas division just got a bit tougher. Someone is going to be losing television time. Naomi Knight and Cameron appear to be safe, as they have a heel turn story line in progress. Summer Rae and Layla El appear to have their weekly television spots secured for the time being. Paige is going to be working a program against AJ, so she should be fine. The belief is that Alicia Fox will be the one demoted, even though her character was gaining a little bit of momentum over the last couple of weeks.
July 5, 2014
Ric Flair
Last week, Miz made his long rumored return to Monday Night Raw. However, he came back to WWE alone. Ric Flair was not by his side as expected. The legendary performer is still expected to make his television return soon, but it looks like he might not be paired up with Miz after all. Flair had petitioned the company to work with Dolph Ziggler, but WWE went in a different direction by pairing him up with Summer Rae instead.
July 5, 2014
Summer Rae
After their segment on Monday Night Raw this week, there is a lot of speculation going around about Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae. There has been no confirmation that they are dating in real life. The belief is that this is a move by WWE to make both of them slightly more relevant and to have a foil for Fandango and Layla El. This on screen relationship between Ziggler and Summer could be a short term thing.
July 1, 2014
Summer Rae
To calm down the Money in the Bank 2014 audience, WWE opted to go with another divas match as a filler. Layla El and Summer Rae battled in a match, where Fandango served as the special guest referee. Fans were so disinterested in the segment that a CM Punk chant broke out. In the end, Layla caught Summer with a kick to gain the pinfall. Layla and Fandango kissed after the match, while a despondent Summer looked on.
June 29, 2014
Fandango
WWE is currently planning a big match between Summer Rae and Layla El, where Fandango would be the special guest referee. Rumors are floating around that the writers will do a story line where Fandango starts to question his decision to leave Summer Rae. If this gains enough steam, then WWE would even consider putting it on a pay per view.
May 24, 2014
Layla El
Now that Summer Rae has completed the filming of Marine 4 with the Miz, she will be returning to Monday Night Raw and Smackdown very soon. Upon her return to television, expect her to be utilized as a baby face in a feud against Layla El and Fandango. WWE could pair her up with a male performer, such as Dolph Ziggler, to even the odds in the feud.
May 15, 2014
Miz
The wait is almost over for the handful of Miz fans, as the former WWE champion is set to make his return this week. Filming for the Marine 4, which stars Miz and WWE diva Summer Rae, is close to completion. There won't be much time for Miz to catch his breath, as he will immediately jump on a plane and head to Europe with the other WWE stars.

Summer Rae
In case you're wondering why Summer Rae has not been seen on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown recently, it's because she is currently off doing a sequel to the Marines movies, which also stars the Miz. News coming out of the set is that the WWE diva is actually doing some of her own stunts in the movie, which has impressed the production crew.
May 2, 2014
Fandango
Even though her character was dumped by Fandango in the story line, do not expect a face turn for Summer Rae. The blonde diva will be working as a heel when she returns to WWE after filming her parts in the upcoming Marine sequel. Summer will also be utilized more as a wrestler this time around as opposed to being a side character.
April 17, 2014
Fandango
One of the big reasons why WWE put Layla El with Fandango is because Summer Rae is taking a couple of weeks off of television to film a sequel to the Marine with the Miz. WWE wanted to keep Fandango on television, but they did not feel that his act would be nearly as popular without a female companion. Thus, Layla was chosen to take over the role.

Summer Rae
Despite being a pretty popular act, WWE has decided to split up Summer Rae and Fandango, who has been selling the story line through social media over the past couple of days. Fandango is being paired with another person soon, as his act needs a female dancer. Summer Rae will be utilized as more of an in ring performer with the rest of the Total Divas cast.

Summer Rae
Since it has generated so much of a buzz on social media and search engines, executives at E! and WWE are quite pleased with the segment on Total Divas where Summer Rae slapped Natalya Neidhart. While it is entirely scripted, the performers were actually able to get a good amount of people wondering if it was a legitimate situation or not.

Kurt Angle
"Well right now I'm not at liberty to say where I'm going but I will tell you I'm going to do the right thing for me and my family. I am in the process of structuring a deal and I do have a company in mind. I haven't said yes because I want to make it a public thing with the company and myself. I can't really say who it is or where I'm going but I can tell you it's going to happen in the next two weeks before my contract is even up. I won't be wrestling until January but there will be a signing in the next couple of weeks." - Kurt Angle hinting on whether he will stay with TNA or return to WWE

Veronica Lane
"Today, I have made the decision to close a chapter of my life and begin the next. My time with WWE was an experience I will never forget, and I will always cherish those memories. However, I am ready to move forward towards my goals and life aspirations. I am beyond thankful for the continual love and support from coworkers, friends, and fans. Thank you for everything." - Veronica Lane saying goodbye to WWE fans

Hulk Hogan
"I've been really quiet since the passing of my husband and the father of my girls. Someone sent me what Mr Bollea had to say in video interview with Grantland yesterday and I would just like to ask him to stop. He is the only person in the WWE Universe who did not give a call or send a card. My girls asked why he didn't check on us like everyone else and I explained simply there isn't a camera at our mailbox or in the house when we receive our calls. I would ask respectfully Mr Bollea, for you to understand my girls hurt and just let some time pass before you say anything more." - wife of the Ultimate Warrior to Hulk Hogan

Rock
"My mom and my cousin, Savelina Fanene, were struck head on by a drunk driver this week. They lived. First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them, but then you realize the most important thing is my family lived through this, and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them." - Rock talks about how a DUI almost killed his family

Alberto Del Rio
"Should be no surprise what happened to Alberto Del Rio. There has always been rampant racism in the industry, from subtle to obvious." - Konnan accusing WWE of being racist towards certain performers

Dixie Carter
"Every two years I go through this. This is just the first public negotiation I've ever had. I think social media has really changed this kind of thing. I'm used to every two years negotiating with Spike and negotiating with other networks. This time is absolutely not any different. We're still talking with them, but there are other people, thank God, that are interested in our product. I want to grow this brand; I want to grow it domestically. I want us to be able to start having the kind of success domestically that we're having internationally. I'm not going to stop and none of us are going to stop until we get there. I'm real excited to see and I think we'll know sooner than later what's going to happen." - Dixie Carter addresses the situation on what TNA is doing with Impact Wrestling
August 7, 2014
Chris Jericho
"No, I've been there and done it against Chris Jericho and I proved a point, so there's no sense in jeopardizing that. Everyone who saw me work that match said I did good for my age. They have a good memory of that and I'd like to leave it at that. I do know some of the older guys who have come back and tried to work in the ring and it's just heartbreaking to see. I don't want to risk all that because the fans still have a pretty good image of me and my last time in the ring." - Ricky Steamboat talking about a potential return to WWE
August 5, 2014
Dolph Ziggler
"Catching Monday Night Raw on my DVR. Just saw all I needed to see. Dolph Ziggler with a huge win. I bought the WWE Network just to keep up with Ziggler." - Kevin Nash praising Dolph Ziggler

Matt Morgan
"If it's true that Spike TV doesn't renew their deal with TNA, it's a double edged sword, in my opinion. They were and are atrociously bad at advertising the show whatsoever. I never used to see us advertised except maybe an hour before Impact Wrestling started. Not acceptable. The most annoying part when I was still wrestling there was I'd see Bellator constantly advertised, and we were doing better numbers at the time. Hell, even Manswers got better public relations by the network than we did. The bad side of the sword is that it obviously takes a ton of TNA's revenue away that they counted on to pay the wrestlers. For the company's future, I think the further they get the hell away from Spike, the better the company will be. That's just my opinion obviously." - Matt Morgan on the rumors that Spike TV is canceling their television deal with TNA

Arn Anderson
"Dolph Ziggler has got to be one of the toughest men to put on a pair of boots, but he's going to be like Mick Foley in another five years because that kid beats his body up more than anybody on the crew. I do know this, in my dealings with him, when I'm his producer, he gives everything he's got. He does some really phenomenal and athletic stuff." - Arn Anderson thinks WWE should push Ziggler
July 20, 2014
Kenta Kobayashi
"He just signed with us. I was there when he had his tryout at the WWE Performance Center and I met with him there. We've been working on this for a while. His training will start when he gets here. The thing is, you can be a big star anyplace else in the world. That gets you in the door. What you do once you get here is a whole different ballgame. He's no different than anybody else once he walks through the door of the Performance Center." - Triple H on how Kenta Kobayashi will be treated in WWE

Kaitlyn
"I don't think I will ever wrestle again, but if I do, it would be for WWE. I just feel like that's my place. It's where I developed my wrestling abilities and character and that's where I would stay if I was to wrestle again. The good thing about when I left is that I left on very good terms with the WWE. It left the door open for me if I ever wanted to come back. It's not completely out of the question to ever return, whether it's for a short-term or longer. Maybe there will be a point down the line that I miss wrestling bad enough that I'll want to come back. As for now though, I'm just focusing on my company and my marriage and haven't gotten that itch to wrestle." - Kaitlyn discusses her future in professional wrestling

Colt Cabana
"Comedy wrestling is not easy. Santino Marella is one of my favorite wrestlers to watch. sad he's leaving the ring, but happy he made me smile." - Colt Cabana on Santino Marella being forced to retire from WWE due to another neck injury

Steve Austin
"I disagree with scripting. I think the nature of a promo has to come from your heart and your guts and you have to mean everything that you're saying. Now is the perfect time to go back to that formula. You learn to sink or swim. And guys and gals will start to learn to swim again. That's what's going to make the product feel more organic, more spontaneous and more real." - Steve Austin talks about WWE being too scripted

James Storm
"Heard Petey Williams retired last night. Such a great talent. Always enjoyed his work and working with him." - James Storm speaks on the surprising retirement of former TNA star Petey Williams

Hulk Hogan
"Yes, I like Hulk Hogan - and here's why. With each passing year, I think I gain a better perspective on what's really important in life. There was a time - a period of many years - where Hulk's name would bring up some negative feelings for me. He was the guy who made far more than I did with a style that was the antithesis of mine. But for the past several years, whenever I see Hulk Hogan, all I can think of are the words Shane Douglas shared with me about Hulk Hogan and the kindness and warmth with which he showered the kids facing life-threatening challenges, who seemed to find strength and inspiration in Hulk's larger than life physique and personality. I'll never forget those words Shane told me, 'Those kids would just be beaming.' Those words are all I think of when I see Hogan, People can take issue with his wrestling style...as they often do with mine. But, when it's all said and done, Hulk Hogan used that oversized personality, and really big heart to ease so much suffering that he saw around him.. In the bigger picture, does anything else really matter?" - Mick Foley shares his feelings on Hulk Hogan

Steve Austin
"Obviously this is going to be a big financial changer because you're not going to get all those buy rates. I've had a brief experience with the WWE Network. I signed up for it. I'm not a real gadget guy. I've had an iPad for damn near two years, but I hardly ever use it. I put the WWE Network on there, and I typed in certain matches, they didn't have certain things from NWA or WCW. So I've been going more to YouTube. I think they need a little bit more original content. I need to get on there more to familiarize myself with it. One of the things I've enjoyed is the old Garden stuff and from World Class (Championship Wrestling). I think it was smart to come out with the network. I think it's going to catch on more in the next two or three years, and that's when it will pay off." - Steve Austin shares his views on the WWE Network
June 27, 2014
Brodus Clay
"He is a pro. He comes to work everyday. He is straight forward and tells you exactly what it is. One of my things was I didn't get to work a match with him. I would have dropped the weight I did and keep the muscle I have. He is a great leader in terms of he talks it; he walks it. He is the face of the WWE and likely so. John Cena gave us all an opportunity to train and have the same training regiment. The training of the NBA and NFL with Olympic lifts for maintenance, for power, better cardiovascular. He was on the forefront. He gave guys an opportunity." - Brodus Clay defending John Cena

Cody Rhodes
"It actually came from a joke. Cody Rhodes likes to tell a story that when he was a little kid he used to watch me wrestle. I'm slightly older than Cody, we're talking three years or something like that, but in his head I'm a really old man. I once walked into the locker room and he was telling the entire locker room that when he was a kid he was watching me wrestling as this character he made up named 'Bad News Barrett' who goes around giving out bad news to people. So we all laughed about it and forgot about it. Then I was invited on the JBL and Cole show and they said they wanted to use me on the show and asked if I had any ideas of what to do. So I said you know what, let's just do Bad News Barrett. I'll just turn up and give people bad news and then disappear. I got a really good response online and fans were loving the catch phrase 'I'm afraid I've got some bad news' and Vince McMahon saw it and thought it was the funniest thing he had ever seen. Next thing you know I'm on TV doing it." - Wade Barrett explaining how his new gimmick in WWE came ot be

Bruiser Brody
"I wasn't sold on him. I wasn't sold on the idea that they kept comparing him to Bruiser Brody, because Brody for the longtime wrestling fan was one of the great wrestlers of his era or of all time. But he was known as the intelligent monster and Harper was an out of control maniac. I think once you stop trying to imitate somebody and find your own way things really start clicking. So, I've been watching him and things have really been clicking and after the Wyatts have this amazing run, hopefully as long as possible, yeah, I do think he has what it takes to become a singles star." - Mick Foley shares his views on Luke Harper and his potential to become a star in WWE
