Curt Hawkins vs Starman

A video on Instagram of Curt Hawkins wrestling a real life Starman, a popular character from the Pro Wresting video game that was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System back during the 1980s. It was the first of its kind back then and still remains a cult classic among the internet wrestling community.

JTG

JTG writing book

Some interesting stories are about to be released to the public, as JTG has announced that he is writing a tell all book about his tenure in WWE. One of the main topics that he will discuss will be backstage heat, which was the rumored reason as to why management decided to punish the former member of Cryme Time. For those that have forgotten, he was one of the more vocal performers when they were receiving smaller Wrestlemania bonuses.

Great Muta

TNA and Wrestle 1 partnership

There are rumors floating around that the partnership between TNA and Wrestle 1 has come to an end. Much of the speculation stems from the fact that Seiya Sanada was released from his contract before it was set to expire in July. Interesting enough, Sanada has opted to remain in the United States instead of going back to work in Japan. Nothing has been confirmed from either the Great Muta or Dixie Carter at this point in time.

Vickie Guerrero

Radicals to WWE

Vickie Guerrero did a podcast interview with Chris Jericho this week, and she revealed something rather interesting about the Radicalz making the jump to WWE. She revealed that even before Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Eddie Guerrero were released by WCW, there were discussions being had with Vince McMahon, which is essentially contract tampering. No lawsuit is likely to take place since the company no longer exists.

Alex Riley

Alex Riley release

Things are still very much up in the air for Alex Riley right now. As many of you already know, he is quite upset with WWE for pulling the rug on his return to the ring at the Royal Rumble. However, a release from his contract has yet to be granted. Management also does not appear to have much interest in him returning full time as an in ring performer. His broadcasting duties have been relieved by the returning David Otunga already.

Curtis Axel

Curtis Axel losing streak

In a rather interesting bit of note, Curtis Axel has been on quite the losing streak. He has not had a televised victory since the beginning of November. It took place during a match against the recently released Justin Gabriel on the Main Event. He is still being utilized on a regular basis, both on television and at live events because WWE loves that he is a solid veteran performer who always shows up for work and puts on decent matches consistently.

Blue Meanie

Blue Meanie in Royal Rumble

Out of all the ECW names that were rumored for the Royal Rumble this past weekend, a name that was heavily pushed backstage was the Blue Meanie. A lot of people in the company feel that he was popular enough to receive a very warm ovation from the heavily opinionated Philadelphia crowd. It would have also made sense because the former bWo member was going to be hosting a DVD release with Stevie Richards for WWE in the coming weeks.

Mike Tenay

GFW signs Matt Striker

The very first GFW pay per view will be taking place in a couple of weeks, so Jeff Jarrett has been working diligently to find a broadcasting partner for Jim Ross. They attempted to get Mike Tenay, but TNA turned that down because they do not want their employees to help out competing promotions. Jarrett and Ross then turned to Matt Striker, an underrated talker that was released from WWE back in June of 2013 when his contract expired.
