In a very interesting note, Vince McMahon was not at the funeral for Roddy Piper this week. The two of them have had a rocky relationship over the years, as both are alpha males and very outspoken. WWE recently terminated the legends contract that Piper was under before he passed away from a heart attack. Triple H and Michael Hayes represented the company at the funeral.

TNA wasn't the only wrestling promotion finalizing a new television deal in Italy this week. Vince McMahon did so as well. He has secured a contract that will enable WWE to keep broadcasting their programming in that country until the year 2020. The promotion has been with Sky Italia since 2003. The network stated that the business partnership between the two sides have been mutually beneficial and should continue on for years.

When asked about CM Punk, Bobby Lashley had some interesting things to say. First and foremost, Lashley is quite supportive of Punk in his quest to fight in UFC. However, Lashley stated that he wished Punk had done a match outside of the promotion first. Flair had several issues with the front office, so he advised Angle to sign with WWE instead. He even stated that he handed him the phone number to Vince McMahon, so that he can initiate the negotiations personally.
