WWE wants Bully Ray

A rather interesting development is taking place in WWE, and it might leave Devon out in the cold. Management is reportedly looking into the idea of splitting up the Dudley Boyz once again because they want to see if the Bully Ray character, which held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, would do well in World Wrestling Entertainment. The split could happen very soon, maybe even the Royal Rumble.

Jerry Lawler turning heel

Since his character has grown rather stale, WWE has been testing out a heel turn for Jerry Lawler on the commentating booth. During the latest episode of Smackdown, he started showing more and more heel mannerisms. Lawler has not been a heel on the microphone in more than ten years, so this will be an interesting transition for the former world heavyweight champion.

Brutus Beefcake

Hogan and Beefcake brothers

Here is an interesting tidbit on Brutus Beefcake. Back when he and Hulk Hogan started their professional wrestling careers together during the late 1970s, they were billed as brothers. Since they really wanted people to believe that, they made it a point to stay in character outside of the arena. It caused enough confusion that many people, including those in the industry, really believed that they were blood brothers.
