Earlier in the month, WWE fans were excited to hear that Steve Austin was going to be showing up on an episode of Monday Night Raw. Even though management has been advertising his appearance, the former world heavyweight champion revealed on social media that he is not scheduled to be on television. He is only attending the event to film his podcast interview with Brock Lesnar.

In October, WWE is doing an episode of Monday Night Raw in Dallas. They are hoping to receive a huge spike in the ratings by bringing in some very big name players. Undertaker, Steve Austin, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels have all been signed for the show. An official announcement has been made by the company that all four of them will be involved in some sort of segment throughout the night.

By now, everyone knows about the roller coaster relationship that Steve Austin has with WWE. He recently made things good again when he agreed to return as the host of a weekly podcast interview show. However, his latest comments might make things a bit awkward again. Austin flat out stated that he feels that Monday Night Raw insults the intelligence of the viewers by treating fans as if they were too stupid to keep up with the show.

Earlier in the week, Michael Hayes took to social media to promise WWE fans that there would be some surprises on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. After the telecast was over, angry fans told Hayes that he did not keep his words. The legendary member of the Fabulous Freebirds decided to issue a response by stating that he never said that it would be huge surprises. He never promised Steve Austin or The Rock.

When asked by Steve Austin on his podcast show, Triple H revealed that he is not a big fan of the third hour of Monday Night Raw. He stated that it was already difficult enough writing a two hour show. He says that outsiders don't realize how stressful that third hour is to the creative department. HHH also stated that they were unlikely to return to two hours because Vince McMahon likes the additional revenue it brings.
