The former world heavyweight champion recently ruled out the possibility of making a return to WWE at Wrestlemania 32. He stated that he would require an extensive amount of training to be at the point he needs to be, so it is not going to happen this year.

Back at Wrestlemania 15, The Rock worked the main event against Steve Austin. Well, he recently revealed that the match almost never happened because of backstage politics. Apparently, several of the veterans were against the fact that someone so young was ahead of them on the card. They tried lobbying to Vince McMahon, but it did not work because he wanted that main event to happen.

Steve Austin defended White on his latest podcast by noting that White has been mostly respectful towards the business and has friends in the industry. Austin also stated that White has personally treated him with nothing but respect.

It appears that the war between Roddy Piper and Steve Austin has come to an end. Austin squashed it first by stating that he is too old for unnecessary drama. Now, Piper has responded by offering up an apology, even though he still claims to not understand why Austin would be offended by what he did.

Reports have surfaced that Roddy Piper has been dropped from his legends contract with WWE, and the speculation going around is that it has something to do with his war of words with Steve Austin. Piper had accused Austin of going to executives of Podcast One and having his show removed from the rotation, which Austin strongly denied.
