Much has been discussed about the rumored backstage heat between Vince McMahon and Steve Austin as of late. We might know what initially started the friction between the two. Austin revealed in an interview with Sports Illustrated that WWE lied to him during his last appearance at Wrestlemania. He was promised that he would be the last to come out during his segment with Hulk Hogan, but they gave that honor to The Rock instead.

An apparel website that works with wrestlers has reportedly been sent a cease and desist letter from WWE earlier this month. The two shirts in questions were designed for Steve Austin. As many of you already know, there have been rumors floating around of backstage heat between Austin and Vince McMahon. The belief is that the company is purposely doing this as a way of getting back at him for skipping out on Wrestlemania.

When John Cena added a springboard Stunner to his arsenal of moves, the belief was that Vince McMahon instructed him to do that. As many of you already know, there have been reports about backstage heat between McMahon and Steve Austin. While Austin has denied those rumors, he did seem quite agitated that Cena has been doing that move. He stated that the springboard aspect makes the move a bit more dangerous for the performers.

Wanting to clear the air on the matter, Steve Austin took to his podcast interview show to address the rumors that he has backstage heat with WWE. He basically denied everything that is being said about the situation. Austin states that he was never scheduled to be on the same flight as the Undertaker. He simply was not booked for Wrestlemania. He also stated that there is no truth to the rumors of him having beef with Vince McMahon.

Apparently, it all stems from questions that Austin asked Triple H when he former interviewed the latter. Some are saying that the question in regards to Chyna set off a chain reaction that eventually brought bad publicity to WWE. The issue between McMahon and Austin was so bad that the former world champion skipped Wrestlemania.

When he revealed on his podcast that he was going to be watching the pay per view from home, that raised several eyebrows backstage in WWE because he was actually scheduled to make an appearance. The belief is that the creative department even came up with a segment for him. No word yet on why Austin would back out of the appearance.

Nothing but positive reactions have come out of Steve Austin interviewing Vince McMahon and Triple H separately on his podcast show. Management loves it because it brought a good amount of attention to the WWE Network. It is being said that they are interested in Stone Cold doing more episodes in conjunction with them. The wrestlers backstage also love the show because Austin has not avoided asking the tougher questions.

One of the things being overlooked right now is the fact that Steve Austin has not been officially attached to the show yet. His presence was a major reason why the previous season was a hit with the fans. As of right now, Bill DeMott is the only name attached.
