The hot rumors right now is that WWE is going to prevent Alberto Del Rio from working for another wrestling promotion in the United States for the next year. In exchange, the company will continue to pay him, even though he has been given a release. That has led fans to speculate as to how much money he will be given. It will be interesting to see how WWE handles the promotion of the world heavyweight championship over the next few weeks. Konnan
As many are already aware, Konnan has been having issues with his hips over the last couple of years. It's the reason why he has been forced to stay away from the ring. No word yet on who he wants as his final opponent.
August 18, 2014
Rey Mysterio
While the company was hoping that the legendary masked performer would make an appearance at TripleMania on Sunday, AAA is reportedly backing away from Rey Mysterio. The promotion does not want to be involved in a contract tampering lawsuit with WWE. As of right now, there is a bit of a dispute between Mysterio and Vince McMahon on their deal. Until that is cleared, AAA will not be contacting Mysterio.

Kevin Steen
While online fans are quite aware that Kevin Steen was one of the best performers on the independent wrestling circuit over the last couple of years, WWE is not treating him any more special than other performers that they have in the developmental program. Management views him as just another wrestler, and they're going to keep pushing for him to lose weight before giving him much of a chance at a promotion.
August 13, 2014
AJ Lee
Rumors are going around that Ashley Flair has moved to the front of the line for a promotion from developmental to the main roster in WWE. There are some roadblocks in her way, though. Vince McMahon
While the company publicly states that they do not view any wrestling promotion as competition, the actions being taken by WWE at Wrestlemania 31 tell a different story. A lot of the buildings in the area have agreed to boycott independent promoters from renting the place.

Rock
It is no secret that WWE would love for the Rock to be the centerpiece attraction at Wrestlemania 31. However, the possibility of that happening is becoming more and more unclear by the day. The studios have decided to move the release date of Fast and Furious 7, which features Rock in a big role, up a bit. It will now be shown in the theaters a few days after Wrestlemania. That means that the Rock will be needed to travel the world to do promotion for the film. His availability to WWE is in question.

April 26, 2014
Sin Cara
While internet wrestling fans make a big deal out of it, the Sin Cara botch issues aren't really all that much of a concern to WWE. Management knows that when you work that style of wrestling, you're going to make mistakes. The backstage attitude and sense of entitlement was more of an issue than Sin Cara having botches in his matches.
April 14, 2014
