Stardust

Wrestlemania 32 ladder match

In case you missed Monday Night Raw, Stephanie McMahon announced a seven man ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Kevin Owens will be defending against Sin Cara, Zack Ryder, Stardust, Dolph Ziggler, Miz and Sami Zayn. Originally, many were under the impression that World Wrestling Entertainment was going to be doing a fatal four way, but the decision to get more performers on the card was made.

El Torito

El Torito replacing Sin Cara

Since Sin Cara is out with a shoulder injury, WWE needed someone for Kalisto to team with during the live events. Management opted to go with El Torito in that role. The two of them worked matches against Los Matadores. The belief is that World Wrestling Entertainment basically went with the choice that would give the children in the audience something to pop for. This tandem is unlikely to be permanent.

Sin Cara

Kalisto being pushed

There is a silver lining to the shoulder injury suffered by Sin Cara. It has allowed WWE to give a small push to Kalisto. On Smackdown, the masked performer was given an upset victory over Alberto Del Rio. The move was done so that a title match can be set up between the two of them. In 2015, World Wrestling Entertainment gave him a little push when they had him in the tournament to crown a new world champion.

Sin Cara injures shoulder

While working a match on Monday Night Raw, Sin Cara injured his shoulder while doing a spot outside the ring. Rather than abruptly ending the match, the masked performer decided to have it popped back into place. To his credit, he was able to finish the rest of the match. Cara received quite a bit of praise from those backstage in WWE for refusing to let a little injury derail him.

Big E Langston

New Day gets title shot

As some of you already know, plans change pretty often backstage in WWE. Originally, Kalisto and Sin Cara were supposed to challenge Tyson Kidd and Antonio Cesaro for the tag team championship at Extreme Rules. However, management opted to change things up by giving the match to Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston instead, even though the Lucha Dragons received really nice ovations from the live events during the Europe tour.

Sin Cara

Rey Mysterio delay

Tonight was supposed to have been the night where Rey Mysterio makes his much anticipated in ring return to AAA. He was scheduled to team up with the original Sin Cara in a tag team match. Unfortunately, though, fans will simply have to wait another 24 hours to see that. The event was delayed due to severe rainstorms in Guadalajara. For what it is worth, the meteorologists are forecasting another day of rain on Tuesday.

Bo Dallas

Bo Dallas returns

Another person that made their return during the WWE live event in Salt Lake City over the weekend was Bo Dallas. Despite not being heavily utilized on television prior to his injury break, he still managed to received a good amount of heel heat from the audience. Dallas cut what was said to be an excellent promo prior to the match against Sin Cara. Since management likes to put over the baby faces at these events, Dallas took the pin fall loss.

Sin Cara

Sin Cara weight

Those that watched his match on Monday Night Raw this week against the Miz noticed a visibly larger Sin Cara. It has even led some to wonder if there is a new performer underneath the mask, despite the tattoo remaining the same. It is still Hunico, but he has gained some weight. WWE generally has issues with their performers not staying in shape. When he first donned the mask, officials were fine with the change because he resembled the original performer.
