It's a play on real life, as the former WWE champion recently completed a new film.

In a sign of how quickly the heel turn decision was made, WWE still has yet to figure out what new gear Seth Rollins will be wearing now that he is a solo performer. That is one of the reasons why he still continues to wear the same gear as his former partners in the Shield, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Since it is viewed as one of the top priorities backstage, you can expect WWE to produce something new for him to wear soon enough.
June 13, 2014
Rumors going around is that WWE decided to do a heel turn for Seth Rollins at the last minute because they wanted to generate some hype and spike up the television ratings. Though he is not blaming racism for his failure in the company, Sin Cara has also spoken out and stated that it does create a hostile working environment for minorities in the WWE.

Depending on your name value, the pay outside of WWE is usually a lot less than within the company. For Sin Cara, who is viewed as a legend in Mexico, he is doing quite alright for himself. Reports have surfaced that the masked performer is generating approximately $5000 for every match that he works. Sin Cara is said to be working two to three matches a week. That is a significant amount of money, and he probably does not miss WWE much.
October 30, 2014

That is not the case at all, since he was released some time ago. Many in Mexico are already aware of that fact and know that he is currently working for AAA under a different name. No word yet on why WWE opted to make that claim.

May 1, 2014
The original Sin Cara is signing a contract with AAA soon. The belief is that he is still waiting for his non compete clause with WWE to expire. While internet wrestling fans make a big deal out of it, the Sin Cara botch issues aren't really all that much of a concern to WWE. Management knows that when you work that style of wrestling, you're going to make mistakes. The backstage attitude and sense of entitlement was more of an issue than Sin Cara having botches in his matches.
April 14, 2014
