Even though he has only been with WWE for less than a month, AJ Styles has already picked up some backstage heat. Even worse, the heat is with Vince McMahon himself. The CEO is upset with Styles because he signed a deal with a toy company prior to signing his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. This is the same company that signed Kevin Owens back when he was receiving his big push against John Cena last year.

Since WWE had been collecting as much talent as possible, rumors of Jay Lethal finally signing with the promotion started to swirl. Well, those can be put to rest for at least another year, as the ROH World Heavyweight Champion has signed a contract extension to stay exactly where he is. The belief is that Lethal would much rather defend the world title around the globe instead of being forced to start over again in NXT, the developmental brand.

While doing an interview with WSVN TV, Alberto Del Rio was asked about his negotiations with TNA last year. The former world heavyweight champion revealed that he had every intentions of signing with the company when he started talks with them. Del Rio simply stated that the deal was never finalized because the company was going through some financial hardships. When they finally got the money, Alberto was already negotiating with WWE.

When asked for his opinion on Tammy Sytch signing a contract with Vivid Entertainment and filming a sex tape, Jim Ross defended the former WWE diva by stating that she is a grown woman who can make her own decisions in life. Ross also stated that Sytch was not committing a crime by filming an adult movie. Jim is not as critical of Tammy because it does not affect what happens to his life.

Management is going to make Omega the top singles star in their vastly popular Bullet Club stable. Kenny is the most likely choice to win the vacant IWGP Intercontinental Championship in a couple of weeks, where he is rumored to be facing Hiroshi Tanahashi in the main event.

There were reports that Tonga was set to join AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows in signing with WWE.

Earlier in the month, Kenny Omega shocked New Japan fans when he turned on AJ Styles and effectively took over leadership of the Bullet Club stable. While some believe that was done because of his potential signing with WWE, the move was actually planned ahead of time. Management got the sense that Styles was going to be returning to the United States, so they wanted him to leave on a high note as a baby face with the fans.

Always the heel, Owens made sure to mention that he was better than Nakamura, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. The fact that he addressed the signings adds even more credibility to the rumors.
