Some potentially good news for WWE in regards to the upcoming return of Sheamus. He was very well received when he made an appearance at a Wizard World convention in Winnepeg. A large amount of people reportedly waited in line to meet the former world heavyweight champion and take a photo with him. Management will view that as a sign that his popularity has not waned despite being on the sidelines for the past several months.

One of the ideas floating around backstage in WWE right now is to have Sheamus making his much anticipated and much promoted return during the Intercontinental Championship ladder match at Wrestlemania. He would initially do so as a baby face before getting the fans to turn on him by costing Daniel Bryan the match. A title feud between the two would then take place for the next month or so.

When Sheamus finally makes his return to WWE, expect some big things for him. Reports have surfaced that management intends on giving him a big push, one that will see him become one of the top heels on the roster again. Management needs strong opponents to put over Roman Reigns, who is still expected to win the heavyweight championship at Wrestlemania. The Celtic Warrior would need to be built up first to fill tat role eventually.

Another potential Wrestlemania opponent has surfaced for Dean Ambrose. Depending on how well his match against Wade Barrett at Fast Lane goes, WWE could opt to make the switch at the big pay per view by replacing Barrett with the soon to return Sheamus, who is still heavily rumored to be making a heel turn to freshen up his stale character. Management definitely wants to reward Ambrose for his hard work with a spot on the card.

Around this time of year, upper level performers start being paired with one another for Wrestlemania. While plans change on a daily basis, management currently has Sheamus, who is expected to make his return to television from an injury any moment now, and Daniel Bryan penciled in for a rematch at the biggest pay per view of the year. The former would have to make a heel turn in order for the feud to work out properly.

Since he has been medically cleared to return and there is a big pay per view tonight that requires mystery entrants, the belief is that Sheamus will be making an appearance at the Royal Rumble. That might not be happening after all, as reports have surfaced that the former world heavyweight champion is actually still in Florida, where his main residence is. Of course, there is a chance he could fly into Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon.
