Reports have now surfaced that Daniel Bryan was sent home because he suffered a concussion while working a match against Sheamus on an episode of Smackdown during the tour of Europe. WWE officials were not completely aware of the injury, so they allowed him to keep working shows. Upon finding out, they decided to send him back to the United States early, which is a good thing because his neck has not been at 100% yet.

While plans change on a daily basis, management currently has Sheamus, who is expected to make his return to television from an injury any moment now, and Daniel Bryan penciled in for a rematch at the biggest pay per view of the year. The former would have to make a heel turn in order for the feud to work out properly.

For whatever reasons, management has decided to postpone things. The belief is that there are people in the company who are pushing for the former world heavyweight champion to make his return at the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant instead.
