Shawn Michaels
During a recent interview, Shawn Michaels revealed that there was quite a bit of backstage heat between he and Undertaker during their careers. Michaels noted that he was obnoxious and outgoing, while Undertaker was quiet and reserved. The two WWE legends had respect for one another, but they simply did not like one another. Vince McMahon was said to have done a lot of work to appease both performers and kept them apart as much as possible backstage.

Shawn Michaels
During a recent podcast interview with Jim Ross, WWE legend Shawn Michaels revealed that he had no intentions of coming out of retirement to work a match against Daniel Bryan, who was his real life protege at one point in time. Michaels stated that he has had discussions with certain people backstage in WWE about the possibility, but nothing concrete ever came out of those discussions.

Shawn Michaels
While their on screen characters in WWE did not get along, Shawn Michaels and JBL are good friends backstage. The two of them have arranged a special fishing expedition together in Bermuda. Michaels will be bringing the MacMillan River Adventures camera crew with him to the island to film scenes for an upcoming episode.

Shawn Michaels
"I don't know, man, who knows, right? That's something that only he can answer for sure. To me, if he hasn't come back already, then... I left the WWE for two-and-a-half years in 2005. The only difference was I left when my contract was up, but I disappeared too, because I just was over it. I couldn't take it anymore, I wasn't interested in being there, I was getting miserable, so I know how he feels. I had no intention of coming back, and after two-and-a-half years I watched Shawn Michaels vs John Cena at WrestleMania 23 and that inspired me to want to come back, but it took two-and-a-half years to get there. So my answer is, 'I don't know', but I just know how I was when I did the same thing. It took a long time for me to be able to come back, and I was probably the same age as CM Punk is now too, so maybe he's going through the same thing and after a few years he'll come back." - Chris Jericho on the backstage heat situation in WWE involving Punk

Shawn Michaels
Since the company wants to make it as big of an event as possible, the rumor going around right now is that all the members of the Kliq, a backstage group consisting of Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman, Triple H and Kevin Nash, will be doing the hall of fame induction for Scott Hall at Wrestlemania 30.

Shawn Michaels

While the possibility of him wrestling another match remains on the table, there are no talks within WWE of having Shawn Michaels working against CM Punk. Management really only wants him to return to work a match against Daniel Bryan.

Shawn Michaels

"I've calmed down a lot. There were a lot of things I did to escalate that whole thing with [opponent] Shawn Michaels and [now WWE owner] Vince McMahon. I wouldn't change anything I did in terms of my own conduct but I regret all of it.Visit Wrestling Inc. I wish I had never left the WWE but I've moved on. I went back and shook Shawn's hand and it was good for everyone to bury the hatchet."

Shawn Michaels

"Mick and I wanted that match to be something different. We had no background together. We didn't know if we were going to have chemistry. Both of us wanted to make a WWE Championship Match that wasn't typical of the business at the time. Mankind was an opponent with a rugged style that Shawn Michaels had never faced before. Had we not tried to add those extra elements, it wouldn't have felt special. I wasn't a fan of having a definite 'style.' I get that there are different styles, and some guys do things a certain way but, as a fan, I don't prefer one over another. So, throughout my whole career, it always made sense to go out and try to mix things up. One of the easiest ways to keep people from saying, 'It's the same old thing,' is to not continually do the same thing."

Shawn Michaels
The segment with Daniel Bryan on Monday Night Raw was designed to write Shawn Michaels off of television and out of the story line.
October 30, 2013
Shawn Michaels
While fans are begging for it, WWE is unlikely to do a match between Shawn Michaels and Daniel Bryan.
October 29, 2013
Daniel Bryan
Initially, Daniel Bryan had surgery to repair a seriously damaged neck. However, doctors found further issues for the former WWE champion recently. His shoulders are pretty messed up as well. Additional procedures could be required to repair all of the damage to his body. Bryan is out indefinitely, and there is no timetable backstage for his return.
July 10, 2014
Emma
Even though the company quickly rehired her, Emma might actually still be in hot water with WWE. The diva was not spotted backstage at Monday Night Raw or Smackdown this week. The belief is that the company has sent her home for the time being. Many believe that it will be quite some time before Emma is allowed back on television.
July 10, 2014
Jonathan Coachman
In a rather interesting bit of news, Renee Young has been moving up the ladder quite a bit in WWE. The belief is that the company is trying to appease her after finding out that ESPN was interested in bringing the beautiful blonde over to their network. The company had already lost Jonathan Coachman and Todd Grisham to the sports network. They don't want to lose Young as well. There are those backstage that even believe that Vince McMahon could allow her to become a commentator on Smackdown or Monday Night Raw, in order to keep her from bolting.
July 10, 2014
Mick Foley
Another source of discontent for WWE performers lately is the amount of the royalty checks that are being handed out. Wrestlers who used to receive $70,000 quarterly checks for the video game are now reportedly receiving closer to $10,000. There has been some proof of that, as Mick Foley was quite vocal towards WWE about the decrease in royalties earlier in the year. A lot of the top level performers received approximately $1,500 on their second quarterly royalty check, which surprised a lot of people backstage.
July 10, 2014
Vince McMahon
Morale has taken a bit of a hit backstage in WWE now that management has instituted new fines for the performers. This goes along with the recently implemented dress code, which requires the performers to constantly be dressed formally when in public. Failure to do so will result in a fine. It is also being said that Vince McMahon and company are fining the performers even if they're just a minute late to the arena.
July 10, 2014
Daniel Bryan
By now, everyone should know that WWE has plans on pushing Roman Reigns into the main event scene. However, not everyone knows that the original plan was not this accelerated. Management has decided to pull the trigger much quicker on the Reigns push because of the absence of Daniel Bryan, who is still indefinitely on the sideline due to a serious neck injury. There are some concerns backstage that Reigns could be ruined if the push is rushed too quickly.
July 10, 2014
Kurt Angle
Earlier in the week, rumors surfaced that a photo of Kurt Angle being passed out on a plane was spotted backstage in WWE. The former world heavyweight champion himself decided to address those rumors on Twitter by denying it completely. He also revealed that he has been sober for almost an entire year now. Angle still plans on negotiating with WWE later on in the year about a return once his contract with TNA expires.
July 10, 2014
Sheamus
Even though he is the current reigning United States Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus has not been given an actual feud to work with. While there are speculations going around that he is upset with WWE for not giving him an official program, those backstage are saying that he is fine with things for now. Management continues to utilize him on television each week, and he more often than not is given a spot on the pay per view events.
July 8, 2014
Santino Marella
Since he was given time to address the audience at a live event over the weekend, many were under the impression that Santino Marella was going to be given a segment on Monday Night Raw to let the fans know of his decision to retire from WWE, especially since he was backstage at the show. Management, however, felt that it was not the right time for such a thing. No word yet on whether or not Marella will get to say farewell to his fans on television.
July 8, 2014
Kofi Kingston
While he has already been officially added to the match at WWE Battleground 2014, very few people backstage in WWE expect Kofi Kingston to be given much consideration as the new Intercontinental Champion. The belief is that he is simply in the match to act as filler and to produce an entertaining spot, which he has routinely done well for the company.
July 5, 2014
Adam Rose
According to backstage rumors, Adam Rose is clinging on by a thread since key members of WWE management, including Vince McMahon and producer Kevin Dunn, are not big fans of his character. Things might have gotten worse since his match at Money in the Bank 2014 against Damien Sandow was basically ignored by the live audience. Rose could be demoted from television very soon.
July 5, 2014
Randy Orton
There was a bit of concern backstage for Randy Orton during the main event of Money in the Bank 2014. Early on in the match, he was struck by a ladder, which caused him to bleed pretty badly. Medical personnel and Triple H immediately tended to him to stop the wound. While there were some fears of a concussion, Orton opted to finish the match. Afterwards, he was given nearly a dozen staples to close the wound. Orton reportedly is undergoing some tests today to check for concussions.
June 30, 2014
Dixie Carter
For a short period of time there, Tommy Dreamer and Dixie Carter worked online wrestling fans into believing that there was real backstage heat between the two. That led many to wonder if Dreamer was still going to be working for TNA. At the recent Impact Wrestling taping, Dreamer continued to work as a backstage agent for the company. The belief is that he will remain in that role for the foreseeable future.
June 29, 2014
Evan Bourne
When he received his release from WWE, Evan Bourne immediately contacted ROH and told them that he was available for work. ROH, however, took the smart approach and contacted WWE to get things in writing. During the conversation, WWE informed ROH that Bourne has not been cleared to work for their company. Bourne was flown out to the show, but had to remain backstage.
June 27, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
Over the last several months, the Usos have been given more of the spotlight. While some of that is due to the Total Divas connection, the main source of their push is due to Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso being backed by John Cena. The trio has grown close backstage. Cena doesn't often use his stroke with management, but he has encouraged management to push guys like Antonio Cesaro and Big E Langston before.
June 27, 2014
Brie Bella
Those that have been following Mick Foley closely over the last year are aware that there is some sort of backstage heat between he and Vince McMahon. WWE has given him the cold shoulders on a couple of occasions. Foley has now revealed a possible source of that friction. He accidentally sent a message to McMahon while trying to send to Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan. The content of that message was Foley complaining about WWE not doing the right thing and putting Bryan over when his popularity was at its peak.
June 27, 2014
Josh Mathews
Yesterday, Josh Mathews received his release from WWE, losing his dream job because the company needed to save money. The announcer decided that he was not going to just sit around and mope. Instead, Mathews is backstage at the Impact Wrestling taping, which is taking place in New York City. The belief is that he is gauging to see if there is any interest from TNA in signing him to a contract.
June 26, 2014
Vince McMahon
Some interesting things might be revealed soon in WWE, as the company is just now getting around to issuing out bonuses from Wrestlemania 30. A lot of people backstage have been wondering how Vince McMahon was going to handle the pay per view bonuses now that the events are shown for free on the WWE Network. McMahon did not help the situation by avoiding his performers on the topic.
June 26, 2014
Josh Mathews
Since he was very popular with his peers backstage, there have been many wondering why WWE released Josh Mathews yesterday. It turns out that it was simply a business decision, as the company needed to trim their budget further. To management, Mathews was at the bottom of the list when it comes to announcers, commentators and interviewers. WWE is expected to continue with the releases to cut cost even further.
June 26, 2014
Josh Mathews
It looks like WWE is not done handing out pink slips to their employees. Josh Mathews becomes the latest person to receive a release from the company. He was a bit of a utility person backstage, but most will remember him as an interviewer. Locker room morale might take a bit of a hit since Mathews was well liked and his enthusiasm for the WWE product was a bit infectious.
June 25, 2014
Eric Bischoff
During a recent podcast interview between Steve Austin and Vince Russo, the topic of the Montreal Screwjob came up. Russo gave specific details about what went down between Vince McMahon, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Austin then finished the discussion by stating that he had no prior knowledge of the incident going down, but that he thinks the decision by McMahon and Russo was the right one. The business had to be protected from Hart and Eric Bischoff.
July 3, 2014
Fandango
Even though the push went absolutely nowhere in the long run, Chris Jericho listed his match against Fandango at Wrestlemania 29 as one of his two favorite moments at the pay per view. Jericho loved the idea of putting Fandango over so well that the fans made him a global sensation the following night on Monday Night Raw. His other favorite moment was his big match against Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 19.
June 17, 2014
Shawn Michaels
Since WWE really wants the show to do well, management has decided to give a little bit of a boost to Legends House by having Shawn Michaels doing a guest appearance. The company wants a bigger name on the series next season, but rumors going around is that WWE won't even bother trying to convince Michaels to do the show because he has far too many outside commitments as is.
May 25, 2014
Roddy Piper
July is going to be a rather busy month for Roddy Piper, as the WWE legend has now been booked for at least a dozen shows throughout Europe. These events are essentially a big group discussion between Piper and his fans. The former United States Heavyweight Champion will be telling stories and answering questions. May 12, 2014
Shawn Michaels
While fans want to believe that Undertaker was the one that made the decision to end the winning streak at Wrestlemania 30, another person has confirmed that Vince McMahon was the one behind the move. During a recent interview with Morton and Gibson, however, the Rock 'n Roll Express stated that it was viewed as a compliment. Morton also revealed that Michaels used to ride with and learned from them in the southern territories.

Shawn Michaels
While he did make a brief appearance during Wrestlemania 30 week, Shawn Michaels is expected to be gone from WWE for the time being. The former world heavyweight champion will be focusing his energy on his television show and various promotional appearances for the time being. There are talks that he could be brought back for Summerslam 2014 to help with promotions, but that is not confirmed yet.
April 24, 2014
Eddie Guerrero
A video tribute for the Undertaker using his action figure. WWE features his character destroying the likes of Eddie Guerrero, Kane, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, John Cena and others.
April 14, 2014
Hulk Hogan
Since the pay per view is right around the corner, WWE is calling upon their big guns to help promote Wrestlemania 30. Hulk Hogan and John Cena are being sent over to Good Morning America to hype up the pay per view. Shawn Michaels was originally advertised for the show as well, but there are rumors that he might have backed out.
April 1, 2014
Shawn Michaels
During a sit down interviews with fans in England, Sting stated that he did not consider himself to be a top tier performer. The former world heavyweight champion placed himself in the second group. The long time WCW star listed Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle as guys that were much better in the ring that he ever was.
March 17, 2014

With millions of fans wanting to see it happening, Sting revealed that he wanted a big match at Wrestlemania 30 against Undertaker as well. The WCW legend even studied the match between Undertaker and Shawn Michaels to prepare himself for the bout. February 24, 2014
Undertaker
"I was thrilled about it, again, it's certainly for me much like all of my career. There wasn't a lot of planning, a lot of thought, the majority of what I did in my career was reactionary, because that's when for me I hit the truest and most honest emotion out of myself. I think everybody in this industry loves to do everything in hindsight, and in hindsight everybody's a genius, but the immediate reaction is what I go on. There was no planning that Undertaker would be the guy to end, none of those things were thought about. All of those things fell into place and I felt good about them and that's what I based it on. I didn't give it a lot of thought, it's sort of like when you know something's right you know it's right and that's how it was done." - Shawn Michaels on being forced to retire by Undertaker
February 16, 2014
John Cena
"I want to prove that I am the best NXT has to offer. I want to prove that to Triple H, Shawn Michaels and my boyhood hero, Bret Hart, who will be in attendance that night. I want to make John Cena, the guy at the top of our industry, see that Sami Zayn is going to be the guy out of NXT to keep your eye on. I want to prove it to the fans who've believed in me all along. I want to prove to the people that never believed that I even belonged here, just how wrong they are. Above all else, I not only want to prove it to Cesaro, I need to prove it to myself." - Sami Zayn talks about wanting to be the next big WWE star
February 16, 2014
CM Punk
While management was highly interested a few months ago, it appears that WWE will not be pushing for Shawn Michaels to work a match against Daniel Bryan at Wrestlemania 30 any more, despite the company needing a boost with the departure of CM Punk. Michaels is still expected to be a part of the event, however.
