Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins keeping belt

While the company has tried their best to make us believe that a title change can take place at the pay per view, Seth Rollins is more than likely going to be walking away with the WWE Heavyweight Championship once Payback is over. Management is quite pleased with the reaction that he has been receiving from the audience. They are also glad that some members of the internet wrestling community are falling for the cowardly heel routine.

Roman Reigns

Sheamus winning IC title

Initially, WWE had planned on giving Sheamus a big heel push so that he could challenge Roman Reigns for the world heavyweight championship. However, those plans were scrapped, and we now have a heel champion in Seth Rollins. The front office knew that there was only so much they could push the Celtic Warrior before he hit the ceiling. Well, rumors are floating around now that they are going to give him the Intercontinental Championship to work with.

Seth Rollins on hometown

During a recent interview the Des Moines Register, Seth Rollins revealed the reason why he chose Davenport, Iowa as his hometown. He stated that it enables him to disconnect from the world when he is not on the road with WWE. He stated that since it is such a small town, he can separate himself from the character that he plays on television. Rollin believes that doing that is crucial for his health, as some performers remain in character at all times.

For those of you that are still in denial about WWE banning the curb stomp finishing move, the company has outed themselves once again. The clip shows him getting ready for the move, but then the front office edited the scene and replaced it with a shot of the live audience instead.

Some further details about the situation have been released. It appears that the front office might have been forced into the situation because of advice that they received from their lawyers, who are currently battling multiple lawsuits from former wrestlers.

Rollins vs Orton

On the surface, Seth Rollins defeated Randy Orton at Extreme Rules to retain the WWE Heavyweight Championship. Things might not be that way tomorrow on Monday Night Raw because the creative department made sure to make the ending as convoluted as possible. Orton hit the RKO, but it was on Kane instead of Rollins, who also hit the RKO as well. That leaves open the possibility for another rematch between the two performers.
