Since CM Punk has been pulled from all of the upcoming live events, WWE needed a new main event match, as he was originally planned to headline the shows with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. Now, Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan have been moved into the top spot.
With CM Punk abruptly leaving the company, WWE needed someone to replace him at the upcoming live events that he was scheduled for. Sheamus has been chosen as the replacement, and he will be working handicap matches against Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.
Batista won Royal Rumble 2014 by eliminating Roman Reigns in the end. Seth Rollins has found his way on to TMZ this week. The WWE star revealed in an interview that he went underneath the ring during a match last week, in order to relieve himself. The Shield member stated that he really needed to pee and could not wait until the segment was over.
Dolph Ziggler is still hoping to get cleared by the WWE medical staff, so that he can work Royal Rumble 2014. The former world heavyweight champion has not worked a televised match for WWE since January 6 because of a concussion.
There is a very good chance that we only have five more months of seeing CM Punk, as his contract with WWE expires in July of this year. The former heavyweight champion has openly talked about leaving the company on his own terms, so it will take some convincing from management to get him to sign a new deal.
Kharma has been focusing much more on her health than she has at any point during her professional wrestling career, as the former TNA knockout is now doing the yoga program created by Diamond Dallas Page. She has lost a considerable amount of weight since leaving WWE.
Thanks to the help of John Cena and his BodyChange program, Vickie Guerrero has been improving her health and losing weight. The WWE diva has lost approximately a dozen pounds over the last month, and she is still going strong with the program.
"We've all had the opportunity to get in the ring with some guys that are considered in the history of this business; CM Punk , John Cena, the Undertaker, Rock, guys like that. At this point, it's kind of customary. I don't feel out of place. There are no nerves. I feel at home."
Michael Cole and JBL, who are close friends outside of WWE, are doing a weight loss challenge together. JBL, who currently weighs 278 pounds, wants to lose approximately 50 pounds this year. They plan on climbing a mountain together afterwards.
Seth Rollins has been receiving praise backstage in WWE, especially after his taped performance against John Cena on Smackdown this week. The company feels that he is a very consistent performer who should be a valuable role player for years.
"Will Seth Rollins have the hardest time making it in WWE? I don't know why some automatically assume this. Rollins has arguably had more, better matches than any Shield member on TV. I wouldn't sleep on Rollins success if I were a fan."
WWE has a poll on their website, asking fans which member of the Shield do they think will win the heavyweight championship first. Seth Rollins is surprisingly in the lead at 41%, while Roman Reigns has 33% and Dean Ambrose has 26%.
CM Punk defeated all three members of the Shield during the opening match of TLC. He was able to pin Dean Ambrose after Roman Reigns accidentally hit his teammate with the spear. Match was entertaining, and the crowd was lively.
In an article that was designed to give some performers more of the spotlight, WWE has listed Seth Rollins as one of the many underrated wrestlers in the company. He was actually compared to CM Punk and Jeff Hardy in the article.
The belief is that WWE officials view Seth Rollins as a mid card performer. While he is unlikely to ever break past the glass ceiling, he is solid enough of a worker who can stick with the company for years as a supporting cast member.

WWE has appointed the Shield as their rookies of the year. Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns beat out the Wyatt Family, Fandango, Curtis Axel and Big E Langston.
WWE star Brodus Clay revealed on Twitter that he has lost some more weight and is now down to 353 pounds.
Roman Reigns was made to look like the featured attraction, as the Shield member picked up the win for his team against Rey Mysterio and his squad.
"I really want to get past that stage in my life. I'm trying to put that part of my life behind me. I want to produce and direct. I want to work behind the scenes. Let the guys like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, The Shield do it and get to that next level. It's not about me anymore. I understand that first and foremost. Don't try to fool myself that I can still hang with these guys because they can run circles around me. Over a period of time anyway, I can hold my own for one night. It's about these guys and the young guys. It's about WWE and the superstars and looking at WrestleMania, looking at it 15 years from now. Who is going to be that big superstar? What superstars will be created in that time? The evolution of life goes and goes and never stops. You have to be prepared for that. Thank God I have been preparing that for many years."
Corey Graves, a WWE developmental wrestler, took to Twitter to playfully mock the Shield about their entrance routine on Monday Night Raw.
Rey Mysterio made his surprise return on Monday Night Raw during the main event to reveal that he is the mystery partner during the big tag team match at Survivor Series.
WWE put together an entertaining video of the Shield doing the 3MB entrance on their new video game.
Despite the tease on Monday Night Raw this week, the Wyatt Family and the Shield are not expected to feud any time soon. Some within WWE are wanting to save that program for Wrestlemania 30.
Triple H was visibly upset during Monday Night Raw when Vince McMahon sent the Shield out early to disrupt his segment with the Big Show.
"It's awesome. I think I've stumbled upon the fountain of youth or something. I'm 44 years old and I'm down to high school weight (225)."
Kharma posted a picture of her new boyd on Twitter, and it looks like the former WWE and TNA star has lost close to 100 pounds.
The original plans for Monday Night Raw were to have CM Punk and Daniel Bryan entering into a feud together against the Shield.
WWE has started to tease the eventual baby face turn by Roman Reigns, and it could lead to a really huge push for the Shield member.
While the rest of the company is on an overseas tour of Australia, China and South Africa, former heavyweight champion CM Punk is staying behind here in the United States. He was at the Chicago Cubs game last night, singing the seventh inning stretch song.
