In a very logical move, WWE has decided to do a Wrestlemania rematch between Randy Orton and Seth Rollins at Extreme Rules. This time, however, the world heavyweight championship will be on the line. Management set this up at the previous pay per view by having Orton defeating Rollins before the latter went to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar in the main event.

During the seventh match at Wrestemania, Seth Rollins shocked the world by cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase after Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar pounded one another rather brutally for several minutes. Fans showed their disdain for Reigns during the match, so they cheered heavily when Rollins appeared on the verge of winning. In the end, WWE opted to call an audible and let Rollins walk out as the new heavyweight champion.

On Monday Night Raw, Jon Stewart made a guest appearance and alluded to the fact that Seth Rollins would not have won the Money in the Bank last year without the assistance of Kane. The belief is that WWE instructed him to say those words because of something that they have planned for the future. It appears that Dean Ambrose, who came close to winning the briefcase last year, is scheduled to win this year and use it to challenge Roman Reigns.

For much of the past year now, WWE knew that they wanted Seth Rollins to have a spot on the Wrestlemania card. They simply did not know who he was going to work with. Management seems to have found a candidate in Randy Orton. While the match should be high profile, the feeling backstage is that this is simply a filler feud for Rollins. The company is simply killing time with him before they figure out when to pull the Money in the Bank trigger.

Those that watched Monday Night Raw this week, saw that WWE made a big change to the world heavyweight championship match at the Royal Rumble. Seth Rollins will now join Brock Lesnar and John Cena in a triple threat match. The belief is that management is making the change because the original match up was not drawing interest from fans. The Money in the Bank briefcase makes the match a bit more unpredictable.

During a recent interview, Chris Jericho listed Seth Rollins as one of the guys in WWE that he would love to work a program with. The belief is that management is actually interested in that idea because they need an established veteran to help put over Rollins before he cashes in the Money in the Bank briefcase. A potential match between the two at Wrestlemania seems like a very likely idea at this point, but a lot can change from now until then.

Good news for those of you who have been complaining that Brock Lesnar does not make enough appearances in WWE. The world heavyweight champion is currently scheduled to be on Monday Night Raw next week. The belief is that he will kick start the promotions for his upcoming title match against John Cena at the Royal Rumble. Management might also have him tease a potential feud with Seth Rollins as well, in order to keep the Money in the Bank briefcase relevant.
