Reports have surfaced that WWE officials were not panicking when Seth Rollins went down with a torn ACL injury. Though they view him as an important piece of the product, losing Rollins is not on the same level as losing The Rock or Steve Austin to an injury. Plus, the front office already had made plans for Roman Reigns to take over the top spot at the Survivor Series anyways.

While his knee surgery was a success, WWE is still expecting Seth Rollins to miss out on Wrestlemania. That means that they need to find a new opponent for Triple H to work with. The two of them were originally scheduled for a match, with Rollins doing a baby face turn at some point in time. Plans were in place for him to break away from the Authority after dropping the belt to Roman Reigns. The injury changed everything.

As soon as Seth Rollins went down with an ACL injury, the belief was that WWE would be contacting John Cena to see an early return would be possible. To their credit, management has not done that. Instead, they are opting to respect his wish for time off to focus on other projects and heal up from his various injuries in the ring. No exact time frame has been announced, but he should be back before the Royal Rumble.

Those plans, however, may now be in jeopardy because of the tournament. Management knows that they need to boost a heel into the top position to replace Rollins for the next nine months.

Some bad news for Seth Rollins. While working a live event in Dublin, the world heavyweight champion suffered an injury in the ring. It was later revealed to be a tweaked knee. Since a lot of fans in Europe have paid money to see the champion, the belief is that Rollins is going to simply tape it up and tough it out. WWE will more than likely change up the match to protect the injury.

After their brutal match at Night of Champions, Sting and Seth Rollins had a rather interesting discussion. The former was sitting in an ambulance when the latter stuck his head in for the chat. Rollins apologized profusely for what happened, but the WCW legend comforted him by telling him that no one was at fault for the injury. Rollins took the opportunity to also express how great it was to work with someone he idolizes.

While it still seems quite severe, reports have surfaced that his neck is definitely not broken. Some are still considered that it might be a spinal injury. Regardless, though, management is said to be hesitant about using him in the ring again.

In one of the best matches in the history of the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar successfully retained the WWE Heavyweight Championship by pinning Seth Rollins after an F5. John Cena had been knocked out by a beautifully and masterfully executed Phoenix Splash from Rollins. Lesnar was made to look especially strong in the match because he came back to win after coming close to being stretched out because of a story line rib injury.
