Michael Elgin
Rumors surfaced over the weekend that Michael Elgin had backstage heat on him from management over comments that he made about wanting to take a break from ROH and trying out for professional baseball in the near future. Reports have surfaced that those rumors are false because management is actually upset with him for doing the job to Trevor Lee at a PWG show. ROH rightfully does not believe that their world heavyweight champion should be putting people in other companies over.
September 9, 2014

While he might not be as hyped as Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose is actually moving up quite a bit in the eyes of management. His ability to make WWE look good to the public has put him in the good graces of high ranking officials.

Big E Langston
There are those backstage in WWE that are skeptical of the idea of doing a heel turn for Kofi Kingston, who has long been regarded as the ultimate baby face. Since he does a lot of the charity work for the company, some are afraid that it will affect that aspect of his job as well. There are rumors floating around that WWE does not have finalized plans for the new stable that also consists of Xavier Woods and Big E Langston.
July 26, 2014

Josh Mathews might not be out of a job for too long. Rumors are floating around that TNA is very close to signing him to a contract. Vince McMahon
Earlier this week, it was revealed that WWE has released their lead writer, and there are now interesting details on Jay Gibson. He was only on the job for approximately five months, which is a clear sign that Vince McMahon and company did not hire the right person. Gibson was also ridiculed a bit backstage by people because he really did not have a lot of knowledge on the WWE product.
June 19, 2014
Batista
In a rather interesting move, Batista rejected a match against Daniel Bryan at Payback 2014. WWE wanted Batista to do the job for Bryan at the show, but the former world heavyweight champion refused because he felt that his character had already lost momentum by tapping out at Wrestlemania 30. Since he does not want to work the pay per view, WWE is allowing him to leave shortly after Extreme Rules 2014.
May 3, 2014
Titus ONeil
Rumors surfaced before Wrestlemania 30 that Titus ONeil was no longer going to be on the receiving end of a push in WWE. Those plans have not been changed, as management is planning on pushing several of the newer stars ahead of him. ONeil, however, has some job security, as WWE feels that he is a great representative at public appearances.
April 13, 2014
Andre the Giant
There is still a strong push within WWE to add Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal match, as many feel that they have done a good job throughout the past several months. However, some in management feel that being involved in the match with John Cena and Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania 30 is enough of a reward for them.
April 4, 2014
Curtis Axel
While he has shown that he is not a main event level talent, Curtis Axel still has a good amount of job security within WWE, as management feels that he is a solid worker who shows up all the time. There are also those in the company that believe that he also has a job after he retires from in ring competition, either as an agent or as a trainer in WWE NXT.
March 10, 2014
Jeff Jarrett
Since the two of them recently worked a main event match at an independent wrestling show together recently, there are talks that Jerry Lawler could be joining Jeff Jarrett in his new wrestling promotion. The two of them were said to have discussed the possibility that weekend, but Lawler seems unwilling to leave his job with WWE any time soon.
March 10, 2014
Xavier Woods
In order to increase his job security within the company, Xavier Woods has been pushing for his own show on the new WWE Network. February 22, 2014
CM Punk
The feeling within WWE is that a lot of performers backstage are afraid to speak up to management. Guys like CM Punk are rare, in that they do not care if they're fired and because they have job security. Other wrestlers, though, know that there are not a lot of options available for employment, so they keep their feelings to themselves.

February 8, 2014
CM Punk

Since WWE knew that the audience would attempt to get several CM Punk chants going throughout the night, they gave special instructions to Randy Orton about how he should cut his promo to open up Monday Night Raw. To his credit, he did a good job of speaking over the crowd.

February 4, 2014
CM Punk

Another possible cause of the backstage heat between CM Punk and WWE is the fact that he did not want to do the job to Triple H at Wrestlemania 30. Punk felt that the company was going in that direction since he has refused to sign a contract extension with them.

He even posted a message on Twitter about the matter.

Drew McIntyre
During a recent interview, Jinder Mahal revealed that he was surprised by his WWE release. He stated that he and Drew McIntyre had no signs from management that they were on the bubble. Mahal noted that 3MB, which currently only consists of Heath Slater and Hornswoggle, was booked on a lot of events, so they felt that their job security was not a concern at the time. WWE, however, needed to cut cost.
June 26, 2014
Brodus Clay
"I hired Brodus Clay into the WWE, he is phenomenal. I remember I met him at a bar where he was a bouncer. There was a fight and I helped him out in the fight. That's how we met. He wanted to be a wrestler I told him to go to wrestling school. There's life after WWE... you're not going to have a job forever. It's the nature of the beast. Some guys have a long run, and yes they could have gotten a lot more out of them, but it's based on someone else's opinion." - Tommy Dreamer explaining how he met Brodus Clay

June 11, 2014
Triple H
"In some ways, I've been doing it behind the scenes for years. Vince McMahon used to say to me, 'When are you going to stop playing around and come do some real work?' Once I had kids and was looking to be home more and getting a little older, I saw it was time to make that transition. Vince sort of baited me in, saying, 'Why don't you come in to the office once or twice a week on your off days?' And the next thing I know it's, 'I need you to take over this department and come off the road full time.' Vince likes to call me to wrestle in case of emergency. I'm a character they can pull in here and there. But honestly, the less I do it at this point, the better. Even wrestling once or twice a year is hard, and I have to prepare for it as if I'm Floyd Mayweather preparing for a boxing match. It's a commitment, and trying to do that with a full-time job and a wife and kids is very time-consuming." - Triple H discusses his new role in WWE
June 1, 2014
Brutus Magnus
"Why do internet fans and gossip writers always have to find an ulterior motive for decisions? It baffles and frankly irritates the hell out of me that these people always have to assume the worst, and report it as fact. More needs to be done in both companies to combat internal sources talking to these parasites. I was asked by a promoter recently if I lost the title because there was heat between me and John Gaburick, our Executive VP of Talent and Creative. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, 'Big' and I are able to freely express ourselves to one another, which means we get to speaks our minds properly, and we've had that relationship since he first arrived in TNA. "Furthermore, how ridiculous is that notion? Do you think if there was heat, that he would have put the title on me in the first place. On average, numbers went across the board while I had the strap. The job of the heel champion is to get the babyfaces over, and leave the place in a better state than he found it. Mission accomplished. "I can't wait to sink my teeth into my next chapter." - Brutus Magnus addressing rumors that he has backstage heat in TNA
May 28, 2014
Mick Foley
With WWE stock taking a major tumble recently, Mick Foley had an interesting theory as to the reason why. The former world heavyweight champion pointed the finger at Triple H and Stephanie McMahon, stating that some people might not be able to differentiate their on screen characters with their real life personas. Foley feels that HHH and Stephanie do such a good job at portraying heels.
May 20, 2014

May 19, 2014

Despite doing a good job of generating interest from fans the last time around, Tough Enough was put on the shelves. Now, it appears that the reality television show is being brought back as part of the WWE Network. Chris Jericho
"I only treat people the way that they treat me and I only met Warrior once and he was really gracious and really cool to me back in 1998 in WCW. He was there to do something with Hulk Hogan and I remember I went up to say hi to him and he went, 'Hey, Chris Jericho, I know you, you're doing a great job you're doing some good work.' I was a nobody at the time and I remember thinking, 'Wow, the Warrior likes me that totally smokes.' It made me feel that I must be doing something right and it gave me a little bit of a boost and I always remembered that." - Chris Jericho meets Ultimate Warrior backstage

April 18, 2014
Jesse Neal
"It is funny how people make fun about real jobs and wrestlers. We are human, too. I have a family to provide for. So, yes, I manned up and provide. The biggest joke of all is I get paid way more at Walmart than I ever did in TNA and on time. What a waste of time. Print that. Don't think that this is bitterness. I'm not on their show any more. April 8, 2014
Batista
"For some reason I think people thought that I didn't like Daniel Bryan or I had this personal thing. I said a comment, I had one comment about him when he first won the world heavyweight championship and I was like, I was in shock and I said, 'Okay.' Because I just didn't get it. The reason I didn't get it because it was too soon and that's my personal opinion. I felt it was way too soon and they did that constantly over and over. I thought they, they just slap the title on people like, way too fast. It's like, I think sometimes that they used the title, I might get a little grief for saying it, sometimes I think they use the title to get guys over. I thought it just, they did it, it was premature. I never had a problem with him being you know, World Heavyweight Champion, I just thought that they did it way too fast. Years ago, before everybody was you know on his jock, when they wanted me to job him out, and I was like, 'Hell no.' He's just too good. He had been coming around for years and I could never figure out why they didn't give him a job, but he had come out and they wanted me to work a match with him, and squash him and I was like, 'No, not gonna happen.' He's way too good man, we could have a good match, and we did. I mean we gave 'em a version of what they wanted, but we gave 'em a hell of a match." - Batista discusses his backstage heat with Daniel Bryan
