Brodus Clay
"He is a pro. He comes to work everyday. He is straight forward and tells you exactly what it is. One of my things was I didn't get to work a match with him. I would have dropped the weight I did and keep the muscle I have. He is a great leader in terms of he talks it; he walks it. He is the face of the WWE and likely so. John Cena gave us all an opportunity to train and have the same training regiment. The training of the NBA and NFL with Olympic lifts for maintenance, for power, better cardiovascular. He was on the forefront. He gave guys an opportunity." - Brodus Clay defending John Cena

Bruiser Brody
Prior to becoming known worldwide as a legend in professional wrestling, Bruiser Brody was actually a pretty good football player. He was an all state high school player in Michigan. His talents were so good that he caught the attention of a university in Texas. He parlayed his success in college to an NFL career, doing a brief stint with the Washington Redskins.

Diamond Dallas Page
"First of all, I wanted to leave. Oh my god, this woman was so nice to me when I walked in there. Once she started hitting me with that deal, I got scared. I go 'Oh my god, she set me up, so should I get up and walk away? How is that going to make the business look?' I breathed, I focused on breathing. The only thing I could think of at that time was that WWE has the best wellness program, better than the NBA, NFL, MLB, so I think that is fighting for the company. I thought about firing back at her (Nancy Grace), but it was a really weird situation. I can't put that bitch over. I can't talk about her anymore, I want to strangle her. The last thing I want to be is in that position. The way it was told to me is that I saw four questions. I said 'I don't know about this' and Nancy Grace said 'No, it's gonna be a feel good piece.' When I walked in there, she was so sweet to me. She totally set me up." - Diamond Dallas Page talks about Nancy Grace

Mojo Rawley
WWE loved touting that there were some very familiar faces in the audience at the big WWE NXT show this past week. One of those was Rob Gronkowski, the superstar tight end for the New England Patriots. The NFL player was there because of his friendship with Mojo Rawley, the developmental wrestler that used to play football.

Austin Aries
Richie Incognito made the headlines for all of the wrong reason this past year, as the NFL star was suspended for bullying his teammate. Austin Aries posted this message on Twitter, giving advice to the Miami Dolphins offensive lineman.

Daniel Bryan
As he is slowly starting to become known in the mainstream media, Daniel Bryan was invited to NFL Total Access on the NFL Network this week. While there, he was judging the beards of various football players. The former world heavyweight champion came off looking very well for WWE, so more appearances could be in line.
February 12, 2014
Mojo Rawley
One of the reasons why WWE is putting a lot of faith and expectation in Mojo Rawley is because he is a former NFL player. He had brief stints with the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals, but a severe injury derailed him. Management feels that his professional sports background gives him a little more credibility than the other developmental wrestlers.

Ahmed Johnson

Prior to becoming a star in professional wrestling, Ahmed Johnson, whose real name is Anthony Norris, played middle linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys for two seasons (1990 and 1991). He wasn't a big star, nor did he receive a lot of playing time, so he's not remembered by too many NFL fans.

Roman Reigns

"I heard him say a good line, he didn't make a play he made 'the play', which in his own right, that's awesome, I enjoyed that. But his whole remarks about Michael Crabtree being mediocre, he kinda just buried himself to me. You're the best cornerback in the game and they're putting you on a mediocre receiver? You only made one play on a mediocre receiver? Which I think he, if he understood the psychology of smack talk, he would build up that receiver and then put himself over even more. You know, 'I'm going against this all-pro bad ass wide receiver, but guess what, I'm the best corner back in the game. I'll lock down anybody."

- Roman Reigns on NFL star Richard Sherman

Jim Ross

"I don't think you have to be a Mensa member to figure out that it had an influence on decisions that were made. I was working with the developmental kids in NXT and enjoying that, and got called in for that job. It was a very unique night, to say the least. Ric Flair was coming off maybe the most traumatic time of his life. Reid Flair had recently died of a drug overdose. In hindsight, it might not have been the most timely booking, to get him in that environment. And then you can look at the other side and say maybe it's a good thing to get him out around friends. As it worked out, you'd probably lean more to the former than the latter. But here's the deal. I was conductor of a runaway train. I was supposed to keep it on the tracks and that didn't happen. So I don't have any issues taking responsibility. Did I envision that it would help facilitate my exit? No. But I could see the thinking behind it."

- Jim Ross

Kevin Nash
Since Lita and Mr T went especially long in their segments, it was very obvious to many that Scott Hall had to rush through his hall of fame induction speech. WWE officials were very concerned backstage at the event, and they informed Hall of the situation. That was the reason why Kevin Nash made his joke onstage about having to rush through things.
April 5, 2014
