Great Muta
Earlier this month, the Great Muta promised to attack the Rock when the former WWE star visited Japan to promote his Hercules movie. Obviously, there was no real life friction, and Muta was simply stating that to help with promotion. The Japanese legend did show up at the event, teased tension with the Rock before shaking hands and posing for pictures together.

Rey Mysterio
While the backstage heat between the two sides remains at a pretty high level, it does not appear that WWE will be giving a release to Rey Mysterio any time soon. Management has started to accept that the former world heavyweight champion will not be returning to work anytime soon, but they will not let him out of his contract to help another promotion out. WWE would rather just keep him on the sidelines for the time being, especially since Mysterio has reportedly stopped cashing in their checks.
October 15, 2014
Jeff Jarrett
While there has not been a ton of details revealed from the deal between New Japan Pro Wrestling and Global Force Wrestling, there are reports that have surfaced that Jeff Jarrett is looking to distribute content from the overseas promotion across the United States. His ability to do that would greatly increase if he were able to secure a national television deal, which he is rumored to have been working on over the past couple of months.
October 14, 2014
Matt Hardy
Thanks to an unfortunate car accident, Reby Sky was forced to pull out of a scheduled match this upcoming weekend for an independent wrestling promotion out in Maryland. The front passenger side of her Cadillac is pretty damaged. Reby also noted that she suffered some injuries during the incident. Rumors are still floating around that she will be joining her husband, Matt Hardy, in TNA soon.
October 3, 2014
Jim Ross
One of the most beloved commentators in professional wrestling might be back with a big promotion in a couple of months. Jim Ross has been openly lobbying to work with New Japan in their efforts to spread into the United States. Ross specifically mentioned the big January 4 pay per view as an opportunity for the two sides to get together. If a deal is agreed upon, he would fly to Tokyo to call the action in English.
October 1, 2014
Jeff Jarrett
Looks like Jeff Jarrett has made a major stride in the formation of Global Force Wrestling. It has now been announced that the promotion will be doing a pay per view on January 4, 2015. Since he has a business relationship with New Japan, and they do their biggest pay per view event on that day, there are speculations that Jarrett could be promoting that show as a GFW branded event in the United States.
September 30, 2014
Kenta Kobayashi
Reports have surfaced that Prince Devitt and Kenta Kobayashi are going to be promoted to the main roster very soon. The two of them are established international stars, and management is not going to have them languishing in the developmental program. WWE knows that the promotion might upset some of the guys that have been in WWE NXT for a while, but it is a move that they want to do.
September 30, 2014
Rob Van Dam
While it is something that a lot of fans had assumed was going to happen anyways, Rob Van Dam recently revealed that he will return to WWE again some day. He stated that he has earned the right to dictate his own schedule and will go back whenever he is ready. RVD also stated that he will not work for another wrestling promotion until he returns to WWE.
September 28, 2014
Chavo Guerrero
As some of you already know, Chavo Guerrero is key backstage figure in that new Lucha Underground promotion that was recently launched. He is already receiving criticism for his work, as many people feel that the company is making a mistake by having high flying and quick paced performers slowing down to a manner similar to what WWE uses.
September 27, 2014
Dixie Carter
Generally, when you run a nationally known wrestling promotion, you try to lock down your performers to prevent them from being hurt elsewhere. TNA was doing that for a while, but Dixie Carter had to make some changes, in order to keep her company afloat. Performers are now given a bit more freedom to work on the independent wrestling circuit to compensate for the lower paying contracts.
September 26, 2014
Eric Bischoff
Rumors have spread like wildfire about the possibility of Eric Bischoff joining Jeff Jarrett in his new Global Force Wrestling promotion. The speculations were started when a picture surfaced online of the two of them, along with Karen Jarrett, hanging out together. Since Bischoff has some stroke in Hollywood, a partnership between the two sides could greatly benefit GFW.
September 21, 2014
Damien Sandow
If you watched WWE NXT Takeover last night, you know that Tyler Breeze failed to win the heavyweight championship. However, management might have something better for him. Reports have surfaced that Breeze is on the verge of being given a promotion to the main roster, where the cocky character will be joining the entourage of the Miz, which already features Damien Sandow.
September 12, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
Showing that there is life after WWE, Alberto Del Rio has announced that he will be doing a small world tour in the upcoming weeks. The former world heavyweight champion, who was recently given his release from WWE after a backstage incident, will be working shows in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico and Japan. The initial belief was that WWE would prevent Del Rio from working for another promotion for the next year.
September 4, 2014
Jim Ross
There is a pay per view coming up in October called BattleGrounds MMA. Any wrestling fan watching the event will recognize a familiar voice calling the action. The promotion has signed up legendary WWE commentator Jim Ross for the show. He will be joined by recently retired UFC star Chael Sonnen for the event, which is taking place in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
September 4, 2014
Evan Bourne
It is no secret that Evan Bourne wants to work for a major wrestling promotion after being given a release from WWE. However, it is not happening in Mexico. The high flyer reportedly turned down a contract offer from AAA. There are rumors that his younger brother was offered a deal as well. The belief is that Bourne feels that the contract is too restrictive and not financially rewarding enough.
September 3, 2014
Ashley Flair
There are rumors floating around that a title change could be taking place in WWE NXT very soon. Bayley might be given the women's title during the middle part of September. Reports are floating around that Ashley Flair is on the verge of being given a promotion to the main roster in about a month, so she would need to drop the belt to someone else in developmental.
August 28, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
The hot rumors right now is that WWE is going to prevent Alberto Del Rio from working for another wrestling promotion in the United States for the next year. In exchange, the company will continue to pay him, even though he has been given a release. That has led fans to speculate as to how much money he will be given. The belief is that it will not be the full amount of the contract, as he will not be paid for working live events.
August 21, 2014
Alberto Del Rio
Everyone in the industry now knows that Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio made appearances for AAA at the TripleMania pay per view. The belief is that WWE will be pursuing legal actions against the promotion, as management has been very quiet backstage about the incident. That has led many to believe that lawyers have advised them not to discuss the situation.
August 19, 2014
Brock Lesnar
It will be interesting to see how WWE handles the promotion of the world heavyweight championship over the next few weeks. Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to be back on television for approximately a month. John Cena, who is returning next week, is expected to get his rematch story line. Paul Heyman is great at what he does, but management will be curious to see how the audience reacts to a missing champion.
August 19, 2014
Rey Mysterio
When TripleMania ended, fans in attendance were treated to a video of Rey Mysterio. The masked legend informed the audience that he would be back in AAA very soon. Unfortunately, though, part of that video was accidentally aired to people who purchased the pay per view. Since that happened, there is now a chance that WWE could pursue legal actions against the promotion.
August 18, 2014
Ashley Flair
Earlier this month, it was revealed that WWE pays their developmental wrestlers approximately $25,000 a year. It has now been discovered that the amount is only for the male performers. The divas in WWE NXT, such as Ashley Flair, Bayley and Sasha Banks, are paid $50,000 a year, which is twice as much. The reasoning behind that is because management feels that the girls have more expenses in maintaining their looks.
September 18, 2014
Sasha Banks
When WWE announced a tournament to crown a new Women's Champion in their developmental program, one of the names brought up as a potential champion was Bayley. Management is very high on her, and the belief was that she would be receiving an opportunity to prove herself in a featured role. That will not be happening now since Bayley was eliminated from the tournament by Sasha Banks this week.
May 2, 2014
Paige
One of the ideas being discussed right now is to have Ric Flair managing Ashley Flair in WWE NXT. With Paige being elevated to the main roster, management can now put more of the spotlight on Ashley, Sasha Banks and Bayley. Having the Nature Boy involved would help to increase interest from the audience, as he is still a beloved performer.
April 15, 2014
Paige
Since she is now the WWE Divas Champion, Paige will be dropping the WWE NXT Women's Championship soon. The top candidates at the moment are Ashley Flair and Sasha Banks. While some are pushing for management to put Bayley in the spot, the company feels that it would be better for business if she were to chase the title for a couple of months first.
April 13, 2014
Triple H
WWE generally likes to put everyone to good use at their television and pay per view events. Last night at Wrestlemania 30, during the big entrance for Triple H, WWE NXT divas Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, and Ashley Flair were used as background performers. The trio have been working in developmental for a bit of time now and are waiting for their chance to be called up to the main roster.
April 8, 2014
Sasha Banks
A picture of developmental diva Sasha Banks performing the 619, a move popularized by Rey Mysterio in WWE. The belief is that she is simply doing it as a tribute, as she certainly would not be allowed to perform the trademark spot on the main roster. Officials are high on Banks, but she is not yet ready to make the jump up from WWE NXT just yet.
March 26, 2014
Camacho
When WWE announced the arrival of the Slam City cartoon series earlier this week, only guys from the main rosters were included as characters. A fan decided to go the extra step by drawing Sasha Banks, Camacho, Mojo Rawley and CJ Parker as characters for the show. Management has no intentions of including WWE NXT stars as of this moment, though.
March 22, 2014
Natalya Neidhart
A video of the match between Paige and Sasha Banks during the latest episode of WWE NXT, where Ashley Flair and Natalya Neidhart both ended up being involved.
March 14, 2014
Sasha Banks
For a while there, things appeared to be looking up for JoJo Offerman, as she was utilized a bit with the main roster in WWE and was a cast member of Total Divas, a focal point for the company. Now, though, it appears that she is just another developmental diva, standing in line behind the likes of Paige, Ashley Flair and even Sasha Banks.
March 9, 2014
Brodus Clay
WWE is really hoping that Sasha Banks does well in developmental, as the company would love to bring her up to the main roster soon. Management wants to tout that she is the first cousin of world famous rapper Snoop Dogg. The company has already acknowledged on multiple times that Brodus Clay was a former bodyguard for the rapper.
February 17, 2014
Trish Stratus

"There are so many Divas who have come and gone who have left their mark in WWE: Ivory, Jazz, Lita, etc. … Ric Flair says, "To be the man, you gotta beat the man," so if I had to choose one, it'd be the Diva who most people would consider the greatest Diva of all time, Trish Stratus. The only reason I'd choose her is because I know in my heart that I can put her down."

January 17, 2014
Sasha Banks

After spending a couple of years on the independent wrestling circuit, Mercedes Kaestner was finally able to secure herself a developmental contract with WWE, where she will be known as Sasha Banks. The belief is that she will start appearing on television soon since she already has ring experience.
