It improves your chances of being signed when you are spotted on a nationally televised show.

Dixie Carter
While a lot of fans bashed TNA for paying big bucks to Hulk Hogan over the years, his true value is coming out as Dixie Carter is having some trouble trying to secure a new television deal for Impact Wrestling. Hogan's name value helped open a lot of doors in business for the company, and his absence has made it a bit harder to sell networks on their product.

Dixie Carter
Rumors are floating around right now that Vince McMahon would be interested in purchasing the TNA library to add to his WWE Network. It could simply just be all speculation right now, as the company has been focused on cutting back their spending because of how much money has been lost over the last several months. Obviously, no negotiations have taken place since Dixie Carter is still trying to find a new television deal for Impact Wrestling.
July 29, 2014
Dixie Carter
Since rumors broke out about Spike TV canceling Impact Wrestling, TNA officials had to react quickly to prevent their performers from panicking. Dixie Carter and her staff sent out emails to the wrestlers to let them know that the rumors were not true. She reiterated to the crew that negotiations were still ongoing with the network, and the show should remain on television.

Matt Morgan
"If it's true that Spike TV doesn't renew their deal with TNA, it's a double edged sword, in my opinion. They were and are atrociously bad at advertising the show whatsoever. I never used to see us advertised except maybe an hour before Impact Wrestling started. Not acceptable. The most annoying part when I was still wrestling there was I'd see Bellator constantly advertised, and we were doing better numbers at the time. Hell, even Manswers got better public relations by the network than we did. The bad side of the sword is that it obviously takes a ton of TNA's revenue away that they counted on to pay the wrestlers. For the company's future, I think the further they get the hell away from Spike, the better the company will be. That's just my opinion obviously." - Matt Morgan on the rumors that Spike TV is canceling their television deal with TNA

Dixie Carter

Dixie Carter
TNA might have finally found a formula that works with these latest episodes of Impact Wrestling. The shows taped in New York City have been drawing in a much better audience than normal. Dixie Carter and her crew are said to be quite pleased that they're coming close to reaching 1.5 million viewers a week now. Something like this may entice management to change up their booking style.
July 26, 2014
Rob Terry
Even though he is now back in TNA, Rob Terry still continues to work for other wrestling promotions. Thanks to the new taping schedule for Impact Wrestling, he is able to work shows in Europe in early August. At these live events, he will be working under his real name as opposed to being under a mask like he is in TNA.
July 25, 2014
Josh Mathews
Josh Mathews might not be out of a job for too long. Rumors are floating around that TNA is very close to signing him to a contract. When he was backstage at Impact Wrestling, he did not seem like a typical visitor, as management was introducing him to people backstage. The belief is that he would be a valuable asset since he understands a lot about the production in WWE.
July 25, 2014
Matt Hardy
Rumors are floating around that Matt Hardy is leaving ROH very soon. His contract is set to expire, and the belief is that neither side is interested in signing an extension. Ring of Honor officials are said to be upset with Hardy for working a couple of episodes of Impact Wrestling for TNA recently. There are also rumors that Hardy is headed back to TNA on a more permanent basis.

Austin Aries
For those that missed Impact Wrestling this week, Austin Aries defeated Seiya Sanada to capture the TNA X Division Championship. Since the match was taped before Sanada had a chance to sign a new contract with TNA, the belief is that his potential departure was one of the reasons behind the title switch. Aries also announced that he would be cashing in the belt to get a shot at the world heavyweight champion at Destination X.
July 11, 2014
Dixie Carter
You can expect to see more of Seiya Sanada on Impact Wrestling over the next few months. The former TNA X Division Champion has decided to sign another contract with Dixie Carter that will ensure that he remains in the United States until at least the end of the year. July 7, 2014
Angelina Love
For those that missed Impact Wrestling this week, Gail Kim is the new TNA Knockouts Champion after defeating Angelina Love in a match. Rumors are floating around that the company made the title switch because they want to use the belt to enhance an upcoming program between Gail and the returning Taryn Terrell. Some feel that this will lead to TNA giving the belt to Taryn before the end of the year.
July 4, 2014
Tommy Dreamer
Those of you that watch Impact Wrestling on a regular basis already know that Tommy Dreamer has returned as a character. However, do not expect to see him sticking around on TNA television for too long. His character is expected to be written off very soon. Dreamer, however, will continue to work for the company as a front office official.
July 3, 2014
Dixie Carter
For a short period of time there, Tommy Dreamer and Dixie Carter worked online wrestling fans into believing that there was real backstage heat between the two. That led many to wonder if Dreamer was still going to be working for TNA. At the recent Impact Wrestling taping, Dreamer continued to work as a backstage agent for the company. The belief is that he will remain in that role for the foreseeable future.

Matt Hardy
On the independent wrestling circuit, Matt Hardy requires a $1500 paycheck for each appearance. The promoter also has to pay for his hotel and airfare. Plus, Reby Sky gets an additional $300 for appearing as well. Since TNA really wanted Hardy to help boost interest in the latest series of Impact Wrestling episodes, the company opted to pay him twice his asking price.

Names like Kevin Steen, Prince Devitt and Kenta Kobayashi have surfaced as potential candidates to join the company later on this year. Unfortunately, though, WWE will not be bringing in Sarita, long considered one of the best international female performers in the business. She received a tryout with the company back in March but no contract has been offered.

Sarita
