Kevin Owens

Samoa Joe vs Finn Balor

After creating quite a buzz with his debut in NXT, Samoa Joe has been a bit quiet lately. A big reason for that is because Kevin Owens was promoted to the main roster in WWE. The belief is that Joe will be moved into a title program with Finn Balor soon, as the two of them have been headlining live events together recently. That could be the setup for television.

In order to get the deal done, management opted to give him a contract that might help them secure more of the top performers on the independent scene. Joe is being allowed to work for other promotions, provided that he does not appear on television.
