Randy Orton predictably defeated the Big Show to retain the WWE Heavyweight Championship at the Survivor Series. He was able to hit the RKO after Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Kane provided the distraction by coming out to the ramp.
After a match filled with crowd pleasing signature spots, CM Punk and Daniel Bryan picked up the win over Luke Harper and Erick Rowan. Bryan blasted Rowan with the running knee, as Punk pinned Harper after the Go 2 Sleep finisher.
Many were predicting John Cena to successfully defend the World title against Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series, and WWE did not stray from that. Cena dodged the arm breaker and hit the Attitude Adjustment for the pin fall victory.
The burial of Ryback continues in WWE, as Mark Henry made a surprising return at the Survivor Series to answer his challenge. The former World Heavyweight Champion picked up the pin fall victory in less than five minutes after hitting the World's Strongest Slam.
On Monday Night Raw, Big Show forced Triple H to book him into a WWE Heavyweight Championship match against Randy Orton at Survivor Series.
Wrestle-1, the new promotion founded by the Great Muta, is about to get an influx of talent from TNA for an upcoming live event in March. Austin Aries, Abyss, Bobby Roode, Brutus Magnus, Christopher Daniels, Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Frankie Kazarian, Gail Kim, Madison Rayne and Samoa Joe have been confirmed for the trip.
Samoa Joe recently revealed that he has asked the TNA front office to give him a bigger role to work with. He is in a contract year, and he wants to be able to show his true value to the company. Joe has been stuck in the mid card for quite some time now.
Aside from half hearted programs with Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio really has not been given a full program by WWE to work with since wrestling John Cena at Survivor Series 2013. However, the feeling backstage is that Del Rio is assured a spot at Wrestlemania 30 to draw in the Spanish media.
Since he made a cameo appearance during a backstage segment at the Survivor Series, speculations have arisen about John Laurinaitis making his return to WWE television, but the former on screen general manager is not scheduled to do so anytime soon.
Big E Langston is another candidate for a last minute match addition at the Survivor Series, as that would enable WWE to promote his newly won Intercontinental Championship.
After their performance on Monday Night Raw during the Broadway Brawl match, there is a good chance that Damien Sandow and Dolph Ziggler could be given a last minute spot at the Survivor Series.
The current plans have Big Show and Randy Orton headlining the Survivor Series, but there are some that want a big tag team match instead.

Since TNA wants Brutus Magnus to have a solid run as the heavyweight champion, the creative department will be lining up some challengers, so he can work memorable feuds. Aside from Samoa Joe, another candidate being discussed is James Storm, who has routinely gotten the best reactions from the live audiences.
Rumors are spreading that Angelina Love could be making a surprise return at the Genesis edition of Impact Wrestling tonight, as the former TNA knockout was spotted on a plane with Samoa Joe, who is heading to Huntsville to perform at the show.
"I think with TNA now, especially with the inner office changes. I think hopefully I will be on top. I told them already. I said, 'Look, you guys have tried to do things in different ways.' I told them at the beginning of last year. 'You guys have been using me in a utilitarian way for the past 2 or 3 years. I'm cool with it. I know this is a team effort but I'm ready to run with it and produce for you if you give me the opportunity.' I've told John Gaburick the same thing. 'You guys have been using me in a utilitarian way for the past 2 or 3 years. I'm ready to get s--t done. If you want to run with me, It's going to be this year.' The ball is in their hands and we will just see what happens."
