Samoa Joe NXT debut

It appears that Triple H and Samoa Joe have managed to swerve the internet wrestling community. The two of them made moves to make it seem like a business relationship was not going to be happening. However, at the big NXT Takeover event tonight, Joe showed up at the end and confronted Kevin Owens, who had viciously beaten Sami Zayn yet again. The two tease a physical altercation, but Owens backed away instead.

HHH on Cena Open

As many of you have already noticed, the open invitational story line with John Cena has now become of the most entertaining things on Monday Night Raw. Apparently, we can thank Triple H for that. He is said to be the one that has been pushing for various angles that have pleased the audience. In order to push NXT, he convinced Vince McMahon to let him use Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in the segments with Cena.

Finn Balor stuck in NXT

A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that Finn Balor would have to wait until at least June before he might get the call to the main roster in WWE. Unfortunately, though, it looks like the wait might have been extended even further. Shoulder injuries have hit Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami. The star from Japan is out eight months, while Zayn has yet to reveal his status. Since NXT needs the star power, Balor will more than likely be kept down there.

Vince Russo on Sami Zayn

Never one to avoid controversy, Vince Russo has drawn the ire of the internet wrestling community yet again. The source of discontent stems from the fact that he took to social media to say that Sami Zayn, who made his debut on Monday Night Raw this week, was not a television star yet. He stated that while the hardcore fans might know of him, the masses just assumed that he was some jobber that was in the ring with John Cena.

Bret Hart

John Cena debut match

Several years back, Kurt Angle laid out a challenge to anyone in WWE to wrestle him. Out came John Cena, and the rest is history. When it came time for the creative department to come up with a way for Sami Zayn to make his debut on Monday Night Raw, the team opted to use the Cena debut as a template. Fortunately for them, Bret Hart was in the house, so they used his legendary status and popularity to further excite the Montreal audience.
