Since it was the first time that NXT held a live event outside of Florida, WWE decided to send a couple of their stars to help draw in the audience. The plan seemingly backfired. While the two of them worked what was said to be an above average match, the audience really laid into Big Show and Ryback. Some of the chants suggested that Show enter early retirement. Others chanted that The Big Guy was overly repetitive in the ring.

Wrestlemania is less than a month away, and WWE still has not figured out how they are going to use two performers who will eventually be inducted into the hall of fame some day. Kane and Big Show are without a match at this point in time. They were initially penciled in for some sort of tag team match against Dolph Ziggler and Ryback. In a move that shocks very few people, WWE has changed some of the plans for Wrestlemania again. Initially, Ryback was scheduled to work some sort of tag team match against The Authority with Dolph Ziggler and Luke Rowan. However, that has been scratched completely from the card. Ziggler is now going to be involved in the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, while the Big Guy has officially been added to the battle royal.

In the opening match of Fast Lane, Seth Rollins, Kane and Big Show were able to successfully get the win over Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan. Ziggler was caught up with the Big Red Machine in the corner when Show came flying from the floor with the knockout punch. WWE might have made a mistake in going with this match to start the show because the audience started dying out in parts. The Authority assaulted the baby faces afterwards.

Some concerns have been risen in regards to the push that Rusev has been receiving in WWE. Right now, management is obviously stalling with him. The Russian sympathizer has not been thrown into a feud and has been working random matches against Dean Ambrose, R Truth, Roman Reigns, Justin Gabriel and Ryback. The belief is that the creative department did have a good story for him and will wait for the Royal Rumble.

Through social media, Ryback revealed to fans that he was denied entry to a WWE live event in his hometown of Las Vegas over the weekend. He also stated that he purchased a ticket, yet was not allowed in. For clarification, this is simply a matter of him portraying his character and preserving the story line of him being fired by The Authority. The Big Guy is expected back on television soon. He is also scheduled for the Royal Rumble.

When Ryback began telling the story of his past, a lot of wrestling fans recognized it from the interview that they read earlier in the week. Many wondered if WWE would allow him to mention that Luke Gallows was the one that helped to save and change his life. Word going around is that the Big Guy actually wanted to mention Gallows when he was telling the story, but management instructed him to omit that part of the story because Gallows does not work there.

In an unusual move, WWE opted to hand the microphone over to Ryback on Monday Night Raw and allow him to tell the story of how he became a professional wrestler. Management was said to be inspired by a recent interview, where he revealed to the world that Luke Gallows, who was not mentioned on the televised interview, was the one that saved him from a life of depression and helped him figure out how to get his job back in wrestling.
