JoJo Offerman
In WWE, sometimes a good personality can help to combat backstage politics. JoJo Offerman appears to be doing that right now, as it has been rumored that management has been praising her for maintaining a good attitude and continuing to work hard down in developmental. Some felt that she would be resentful towards WWE for removing her from the main roster and from the Total Divas cast.

Bob Holly
"They try to make that hall of fame leigtimate, but if you'll notice, to me, it's politically driven. A dead giveaway is Hunter wanting all of his little buddies, his little circle first. He's taken care of all of them." - Bob Holly suggesting that backstage politics plays a big part in the WWE Hall of Fame

Brock Lesnar
"Here's a guy that has a huge ego. He has a hard time with putting anybody over and let alone outside the business when someone like Brock Lesnar would have to hurt him. His ego wouldn't let him walk around in a sling. He wants people to know it's entertainment unless he's the one doing it then he wants you to walk around in a leg cast. This is what I see the problem is and I've been pretty critical about it. You've got somebody in that position that's got too big of an ego to run a company like that. Triple H goes to extreme lengths to look good, to be big and cut and make sure he's on the cover of the muscle magazine and make sure he's in fitness things. He's the guy who's putting himself in the forefront. For anybody to run a company like the WWE, you can't be that guy. You've got too much talent out there for you to put yourself out there in front of them." - Ken Shamrock bashing HHH for backstage politics

Lacey Von Erich
"If you never want to have a family or a wife or time to yourself, and you like being verbally and mentally abused, then you should [get into wrestling]. I say go for it. [That abuse comes more from] the locker room. Definitely the locker room. TNA is very different than WWE. WWE was very political. I wasn't in there yet. They were like, 'You're a Von Erich. You better be amazing at wrestling,' and things like that. And I wasn't. I'm more of an actress than I am a wrestler. I'd rather play a character than get hurt on the mat. That's what I'm better at. I'm better at acting. That's what I wanted to do. Vince called me. He's the one that got me into this. He's the one asked me, 'Do you want to be a wrestler? Try to be a Diva?' He brought me out and and I signed the contract that night and went into training. I wasn't expecting it to come as much. It really blew up and they expected so much of me, but then TNA called and they really embraced me as like a family member." - Lacey Von Erich talking about backstage politics in WWE

JBL
"There is a lot of truth to that, absolutely. There were guys that came there from other organizations that perhaps they thought they should just skip everybody else and skip right to the top and have things right away the way they wanted. I mean, hey, there are rules and things that you have to abide by as far as this business goes. and you have to respect those. But, when you don't respect those, then hey, we have got a problem. So, yes, we had a lot of guys who came in with that attitude, and John and I would have to be called upon to let them know 'hey, that is not how it works here'." - Ron Simmons on how he and JBL handled backstage politics in WWE

Kofi Kingston
"People always say, 'Oh, there haven't been many black champions,' but on the other hand, there are a whole lot of white people that never won a belt either. These days, I think it's less of a racial thing. I honestly believe that if you are able to entertain and interact with the crowd, it doesn't matter what ethnicity you may be. WWE will reward you." - Kofi Kingston discusses racism and backstage politics

Davey Richards
"We're not talking. We're not on good terms. I have no respect for them whatsoever. I strongly dislike management there like with the exception of Jeff Jones who is a great guy. But the booker (Hunter Johnson) is completely inadequate at his job and he got his job more for being spineless than being talented. And the owner (Joe Koff) is even worse, he could care less about wrestling. He just wants to do television. To me, it's just not something I agree with but I'm not there anymore and they do their own thing. And for the talent and the fans I wish them nothing but the best of luck. That company is in business not because of stellar booking and stellar management. They're in business still because they'they're spineless. The talent there is phenomenal. They're top notch and great. But the management from the booker to the owner it's definitely shut up and do what you're told and drink the Kool-aid. I made a joke when I was there I called it Jim Jones wrestling. Just shut up and drink the Kool-aid and do your job. In private, people are going this sucks this sucks this sucks and I'm the one who came out and said this is terrible. I worked for that company and gave them everything I had for seven years. I think I earned my right to an opinion. Once that got out, it was like you're going against the stream? You're not here to have an opinion, just shut up and do your job and get your paycheck. I'm sure you can find someone else to do that for a lot less money than what you're paying me so I'm just going to go about my way. Best decision I ever made and I have no desire to go back, ever." - Davey Richards talks about the backstage politics in ROH

John Cena
"He's a workhorse. He does incredible things for the company and he busts his butt. Outside the ring, I can't stand the guy. He's not a nice guy, he holds talent down. He steals ideas. He's a prick." - Tyler Reks discusses backstage politics with John Cena when he was in WWE

Kamala
"Vince McMahon has certain people that he will pay. If you get along with Vince, do him sexual favors, you'll get along good with him. But if you just (do your job and) mind your own business, then he doesn't like you for some reason. There was a lot of men with men in those days and even men with boys. I know a lot of guys that (failed drug tests) and it was documented that they passed, and I know what they did." - Kamala on backstage politics in WWE

Dusty Rhodes
"It was strictly politics. Dusty Rhodes was the booker and he was against it. You know, what are you going to do. He didn't book me anywhere during the whole time I had the belt until the rematch because Dusty Rhodes was a very, very jealous guy when it came to guys getting over. He was the wrong guy to be a booker. He is the one who put Jim Crockett out of business. He is the reason Jim Crockett had to sell and was losing his butt. It was the same thing with the Rock and Roll Express. He couldn't stand the Rock and Roll Express getting over like rock stars. I mean, girls would go crazy. They had to have some protection for the Rock and Roll Express, the girls would attack them, just like rock stars, it was unbelievable." - Ronnie Garvin discusses backstage politics and Dusty Rhodes

Linda McMahon
While she has been relatively quiet as of late, Linda McMahon is still making moves in the world of politics. The former WWE CEO is being honored this month with the Prescott Bush Award, which is viewed as the highest honor that is bestowed by the Connecticut Republican Party. Despite the launch of the WWE Network, Linda is still keeping her distance from the company.

Carlito
Those hoping to see Carlito making his return to the company some day are going to be quite disappointed, as it seems like he has very little interest in returning to WWE. The former US champion has been booked rather frequently on the independent wrestling circuit, and he reportedly is not interested in returning to the backstage politics that takes place in WWE.

Daniel Bryan

"Hey WWE I’m not trying to be rude but the crowd seems to really want Daniel Bryan. Juuuuuuust MAFAKIN Saying!! Geez. Sadly WWE is still run by 'Muscle Marks.' It is what it is folks."

- Shane Helms on backstage politics in WWE

Armando Estrada

"You're not allowed to get over in WWE unless they want you to. If you do, you can and will be punished. Has happened to many over the years."

- Armando Estrada on backstage politics in WWE

Bret Hart

"Toronto deserves Rob Ford, they put him in office. Toronto deserves everything it gets. Up in Calgary we've got a more prestigious mayor [Naheed Nenshi]. I think we've got the best mayor in North America."

Ryback
When word broke that Ryback was injured, there were some reports of skepticism from WWE officials that there really was no injury. However, the legitimacy of his health has been proven, as Ryback has posted a video of himself in the hospital. He clearly did go under the knife. It is being said that Ryback has worked with strained groins and hernias for the last year.

Ryback
Since Ryback is on the shelf for a couple of weeks, it will be interesting to see what WWE does with Curtis Axel. There were already plans being discussed a couple of weeks ago to split up the tag team, so it should come as no surprise if management opted to use the injury as an excuse to accelerate those plans. WWE no longer believes that Axel is worthy of being a top level guy, but they do believe he can still be a useful member of the roster.
August 27, 2014
Ryback
There was a little bit of a buzz earlier in the week when Ryback posted a message about taking time off from WWE. It escalated a bit further when he deleted the comment from Twitter, which is something that he has done several times in the past. It has now been confirmed that he suffered some sort of injury and will be needing a few weeks off of the road to recover.
August 27, 2014
Curtis Axel
Since management wasn't completely sure what to do with them upon their returns, WWE has seemingly decided to put Big Show and Mark Henry into a tag team. The duo demolished Curtis Axel and Ryback on Smackdown. The belief is that Show and Henry could be placed into a big tag team match on a pay per view against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.
August 11, 2014
Erick Rowan
Reports are surfacing that WWE will be throwing a last minute fatal four way match together at Summerslam 2014, where Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Curtis Axel and Ryback will all be vying for the tag titles. Management does not view this division to be a priority at this time, even though fan interest has grown.
August 7, 2014
Curtis Axel
Rumors are floating around that WWE is going to be splitting up Curtis Axel and Ryback very soon. Since neither guy has a ton of momentum right now, it does not appear that the move is being done to give them a push. WWE views Axel as just a guy on the roster nowadays, and Ryback has been in the doghouse with management for quite some time now.
July 23, 2014
Kofi Kingston
On Monday Night Raw this week, Xavier Woods, who is only used sporadically on television by WWE, made a surprising appearance after a tag team match featuring Curtis Axel, Ryback, Kofi Kingston and Big E Langston. He cut a quick promo about how Kingston and Langston cannot get very far in WWE by being nice guys. This is the start of the long rumored stable, which has already been compared to the Nation of Domination by fans online.
July 22, 2014
Antonio Cesaro
Some more names have been added to the upcoming WWE Intercontinental Championship battle royal. Big E, Curtis Axel, Dolph Ziggler, Rob Van Dam and Ryback are now in the match at WWE Battleground 2014. They join Kofi Kingston, Damien Sandow, Great Khali and Antonio Cesaro. As of right now, the company is favoring the idea of giving the title to Cesaro.
July 2, 2014
Goldust
In a match that was slightly held in higher regards than a filler match, Goldust and Cody Rhodes, who worked under his Stardust gimmick again, defeated Curtis Axel, who was sporting a ridiculous looking singlet, and Ryback. The match was designed to highlight the Stardust character. Since there was a little bit of action after the match, there is a chance that WWE could be continuing this feud.
June 29, 2014
Ryback
In a match designed by WWE to accelerate the split between the brothers, Curtis Axel and Ryback defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust in the second match of Payback 2014. Ryback picked up the pin fall victory for his team after delivering the Shell Shock to Rhodes. Afterwards, Rhodes told Goldust that he needs to find a better tag team partner for himself.
June 1, 2014
Dean Ambrose
A rather interesting move took place on Monday Night Raw, as Sheamus captured the WWE United States Heavyweight Championship by winning a battle royal. The move was designed to take the belt off of Dean Ambrose, which would increase the friction between the Shield and Triple H. Final five guys in the ring were Ambrose, Sheamus, Jack Swagger, Curtis Axel and Ryback.

Ryback
"I got absolutely nothing from that. It's a time period I will not even think to look back on." - Ryback talking about how disappointment he was with his partnership with Paul Heyman
May 2, 2014
Daniel Bryan
"I came in 2012 and burst on the scene. I believe I was the most popular thing. Before the 'Yes Movement' with Daniel Bryan, there was the 'Feed Me More' movement. I took the WWE by storm. I was undefeated for some time, sometimes taking on two guys at one time. I jumped in the main event scene very quickly and stayed very popular with the WWE Universe for a long time. We made the switch and went an opposite way and took it all away. Not that I necessarily agreed with it at the time, but I feel it was a good move." - Ryback talks about WWE takiing away his push
May 2, 2014
Curtis Axel
Earlier in the week, it was reported that Curtis Axel and Ryback would be receiving a shot at Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and the WWE Tag Team Championship at Extreme Rules 2014, management has decided to put the match on the next episode of Monday Night Raw instead. A rematch at the pay per view is a possibility still.
April 27, 2014
Layla El
As is usually the case with every pay per view, you can expect WWE to do last minute additions to the Extreme Rules 2014 match card. Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Curtis Axel and Ryback are expected to get the seventh match on the card. If WWE needs another filler match, then Emma, Santino Marella, Layla El and Fandango are the top candidates for that spot.
April 27, 2014
Zeb Colter
With the X-Men star making a return appearance next week, WWE has been hinting that Hugh Jackman is going to be knocking out one of the wrestlers. The company set up a poll to see which performer the fans wanted to see in the roll. Damien Sandow, JBL, Wade Barrett, Randy Orton, Batista, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Zeb Colter, Fandango and Jack Swagger were all included, but Triple H and Paul Heyman are currently in the lead.
April 25, 2014
Paul Heyman
While it has yet to be officially confirmed, you can expect to see Curtis Axel and Ryback challenging Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso for the WWE tag team championship at Extreme Rules 2014. The seeds for the match was placed when the former Paul Heyman duo attacked the Usos after they defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust on Monday Night Raw last week.
April 25, 2014
Jey Uso
Despite working a segment that is building towards a feud for the tag team championship, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso were removed from the Hulu version of Monday Night Raw this week. The brother tandem defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust before setting up their program with Curtis Axel and Ryback. WWE still intends to continue the story line.
April 23, 2014
Heath Slater
For fans who take interest in the traveling schedules of professional wrestlers, it has been revealed that Heath Slater is now traveling with Curtis Axel in between live events. Many were under the assumption that Slater was traveling with Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, while Axel was believed to have been on the road with Ryback.
April 23, 2014
Ryback
Since he has managed to behave himself rather well since being put into the dog house, there are talks that Ryback could be on the receiving end of a push from WWE in the near future. There are rumors that he and Curtis Axel could be going their separate ways soon, and it looks like Ryback will be the beneficiary of that breakup. He should be moved back into the mid card scene by the summer.
