Kalisto beats Ryback

In case you missed the latest episode of Smackdown, Kalisto defeated Ryback to advance in the tournament to crown a new world heavyweight champion. It is now being said that the reason why WWE did that is because there are those backstage that felt that the tournament matches were a bit predictable. The creative department wanted to have at least one upset in the first round.

During a recent interview, Ryback revealed that it never bothered him whenever fans would chant for Goldberg during his matches. Big Show turning face

In a rather odd move, Big Show acted very much like a baby face at a live event in Vancouver over the weekend. Rusev not in Royal Rumble

One of the ideas being tossed around backstage in WWE is to keep Rusev out of the big Royal Rumble match. Some are leaning towards putting him in a singles match at the pay per view against Ryback, where the big Russian sympathizer would pick up another victory against a strong opponent. The belief is that management does not want him to suffer a loss in a battle royal, as he is not slated to win the event. A singles match would prevent that.

The former world heavyweight champion stated that he has lost some years from his life because of injuries sustained while working a program with Ryback, whom Punk claims is quite reckless in the ring. Jericho has announced that the big guy will be doing an interview this week, and he's expected to respond.
