Jimmy Uso

Big Show turning face

In a rather odd move, Big Show acted very much like a baby face at a live event in Vancouver over the weekend. It makes sense for him to do that against Miz, as they are working a three way feud with Ryback. However, Show went the distance by helping Jimmy Uso to the backstage area. Generally, a heel would just leave the attacked baby face in the ring.

Sheamus

Ryback wins IC title

Going into the Elimination Chamber, Sheamus was initially penciled in as the person that was scheduled to walk out of the enormous steel cage structure with the Intercontinental Championship in his hand. However, as a sign that WWE still continues to change up plans on a frequent basis, management opted to put the belt on Ryback for whatever reasons. A lot of people backstage have been impressed with the Big Guy as of late.

Ryback injures rib

While it appeared that he was simply putting on a good performance last night, it turns out that Ryback was actually injured at Payback and was not just doing a great job of selling. Reports have surfaced that his ribs were severely damaged last night, and some are saying that it occurred when Bray Wyatt did a senton splash from the ropes to the arena floor. Medical personnel checked on the Big Guy backstage immediately after his match.

Rusev not in Royal Rumble

One of the ideas being tossed around backstage in WWE is to keep Rusev out of the big Royal Rumble match. Some are leaning towards putting him in a singles match at the pay per view against Ryback, where the big Russian sympathizer would pick up another victory against a strong opponent. The belief is that management does not want him to suffer a loss in a battle royal, as he is not slated to win the event. A singles match would prevent that.

Ryback responds to Punk

When Chris Jericho had CM Punk on his podcast show, the latest UFC signing revealed his disdain towards certain individuals backstage in WWE. The former world heavyweight champion stated that he has lost some years from his life because of injuries sustained while working a program with Ryback, whom Punk claims is quite reckless in the ring. Jericho has announced that the big guy will be doing an interview this week, and he's expected to respond.
