CM Punk

CM Punk first fight

The wait might almost be over. Rumors are floating around that UFC officials have started looking at potential opponents for CM Punk. Of course, it is not a simple process, as the matchmakers still need to factor in the marketing side of seeing the debut match of a former WWE Heavyweight Champion. An announcement is expected soon.

There, he would more than likely receive a warm ovation from the live audience. Plus, since it will be aired for free on Fox, that should draw in a ton of wrestling fans.

However, those rumors were dispelled last night, as the ECW legend was working as an agent during the debut episode of Impact Wrestling.

The Ascension debuts in WWE

Rumors are floating around that WWE officials are not pleased with the debut of The Ascension on Monday Night Raw this week. The belief is that the entire segment fell a bit flat, despite management pairing them up with the popular duo of The Miz and Damien Sandow. Viktor and Konnor showed a lot of enthusiasm and energy, but the audience simply did not connect with their gimmick. Their push could be greatly affected by the first impression they gave.
