There is now talks that the Tough Enough winner might be placed into the Royal Rumble so that veteran WWE performers can punish him in the ring. World Wrestling Entertainment has done that before with Daniel Puder, who was released shortly after the in ring punishment took placed.

However, he might be involved in the Royal Rumble, as the former world heavyweight champion is said to be backstage at Monday Night Raw, which is taking place in San Antonio. Jericho could be setting up his pay per view appearance tonight by declaring himself as an entrant.

In a heartfelt letter on his social media account, Mick Foley expressed to fans on his concerns about the Royal Rumble slowly dying. The legendary performer stated that the pay per view is just starting to feel like a secondary show. He stated that WWE is making the same mistake with this show as they did with the Survivor Series, a formerly great gimmick event that has become basically just another show on the calendar.

The initial plans for the Royal Rumble called for Alex Riley to make his televised return. He was reportedly set to become one of the mystery entrants at the pay per view. WWE, however, kept changing up their plans backstage that night. Riley ended up being removed completely from the show. He is not at all happy about that. In fact, he even went to social media to vent and hint that he was seriously considering a departure soon.

Reports are surfacing that he definitely has been in touch with WWE and an involvement tonight is on the plate. At the very least, he will be visiting backstage. However, management wants more than that from him.

Through social media, Ryback revealed to fans that he was denied entry to a WWE live event in his hometown of Las Vegas over the weekend. He also stated that he purchased a ticket, yet was not allowed in. For clarification, this is simply a matter of him portraying his character and preserving the story line of him being fired by The Authority. The Big Guy is expected back on television soon. He is also scheduled for the Royal Rumble.

In a nice little swerve on Monday Night Raw, Daniel Bryan convinced WWE fans that he might be retiring as an in ring performer, thanks in part to a simple social media message, before delightfully surprising the audience with the announcement that he would be making his return at the Royal Rumble. There had been legitimate concerns backstage over his health, as many were under the belief that he would walk away like Edge did to ensure his long term health.
